The editor writes:

Disease prevention instead of repair medicine

Does zinc help with colds? Do antioxidants protect against ageing? What benefit do high doses of selenium have in cancer? The guide provides the answers — clear, practical and scientifically justified. And it shows how vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids and essential fatty acids can effectively prevent disease.

This edition updates the data on all micronutrients and covers the indications of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. New topics also include assessment of nutrient status and interactions between medicines and micronutrients.

The book builds bridges between nutritional science and medicine. It makes orthomolecular medicine the finishing touch to the therapy and advisory services offered by doctors, pharmacists and naturopaths.

This book is a "must have"
I normally very rarely read books ... but this book by Uwe Gröber is different. Despite the reference ... "for pharmacists and doctors", if you are interested in orthomolecular medicine, you should not hesitate to buy this book. An interested layman will nevertheless understand the connections and be able to optimise his micronutrient supplementation (also disease-related) as a result.

Recommendation
Mr Gröber's book is very well-founded and comprehensive! Anyone interested in the subject is well advised. I bought the book later, so I already knew it. The delivery was fast and reliable, thanks to the publisher.
