When your own child is about to leave the nest and start studying far from home, organisational skills and a long packing list are required.

Are all the textbooks packed?

Bed sheets and towels?

Notebooks and pens?

Computer?

Kali phos?

Just a moment… Kali what?

Don't let your newly fledged student go without the Schuessler salt for bright minds — Kali phos. If they do, send a care package after them quickly!

When my sons went to university, each of them had a small bottle of this valuable mineral salt in their luggage, because it is a wonderful remedy for learning and exam stress.

You may be wondering why? Kali phos is one of the nutrients that primarily support the function of the central nervous system. I have written before about how important this mineral salt is for overall well‑being and inner contentment. It also sharpens the mind and cognitive ability.

I call it the 'happy Schuessler salt'. Of course you could also call it the 'clever' mineral salt, and if the professors knew, they might keep a large bowl of Kali phos on their desk for their students!

Symptoms that call for Kali phos include low mood, irritability, apathy and sleep disturbances despite exhaustion caused by mental overexertion.

Kali phos is a tailor‑made remedy for students who have to study a lot and suffer from exam stress. Is your child worrying about the upcoming exam? Do they complain about memory problems and cannot remember what they have just learned? Are they completely exhausted yet still unable to sleep? Then Kali phos is the right remedy.

And before I forget – if your child does competitive sport, Kali phos also helps with physical overexertion that produces the same symptoms.

How do you use the salt? Well, Kali phos works best when taken as a D3 or D6 twice daily until the symptoms disappear. This can also be over a long period – for as long as the stress is present. As soon as the symptoms improve, stop the remedy and only take it again if the symptoms recur.

(Note: even if Kali phos – Kalium phosphoricum or dipotassium phosphate – is taken in the 30C or 200C potency, it is still referred to as a mineral salt. For our purposes we use the third or sixth potency. I like to use the D3, which can sometimes be hard to find. In the USA the D6 is generally available and works excellently.)

With a little support for the nervous system, our children can learn better and more effectively. Education has its price, but this modest investment will certainly pay off. I always say the best thing a mother can do for her children while they are studying is Kali phos. That's what I did for my sons. It is the best gift you can give your children.

Spread the word!
