Hello, it’s me again, Buster the cheeky office dog.
Every now and then my owner mumbles that I’m getting on her last nerve. To be honest, I don’t know how that could be physically possible. I do have fur and walk on four legs, but that doesn’t mean I’m stupid! I know perfectly well that the human body consists of billions of nerve cells. So how could I possibly steal her ‘last’ nerve?
But it made me think and reminded me once again how painful nerves can be when they are injured.
Not long ago a friend of mine (a dog, incidentally) had a terribly painful experience. He accidentally tore out one of his claws and the poor fellow yelped in agony.
Ooooh… The very thought sends shivers down my spine; it must have been awful.
Fortunately his owner knew about homeopathy. She immediately gave him the remedy that my owner wanted to discuss here today – the final post in the emergency series – Hypericum perforatum.
Hypericum is an excellent remedy for injuries and pain in parts of the body that contain many nerves – fingertips or toes, for example. This remedy also helps if you need to see the dentist or if you have fallen onto your coccyx. There are many nerve-rich regions in the body that respond well to Hypericum.
In acute situations my owner uses the C200 potency, taking it every few hours as needed depending on the severity of the pain. If the pain is really severe, she sometimes gives Hypericum 1M.
Well, it will come as no surprise to hear that the pain in my friend’s paw disappeared in no time and the wound healed. You can imagine how grateful he was that homeopathy exists.
In fact I heard our two owners laughing about it on the phone. It was like this: my little furry friend, even a month later – by then the injury had long since healed – would occasionally stand in front of his owner with a lifted paw begging for homeopathic globules. That crafty little rascal! (And they call me the cheeky office dog!). Apparently he liked the Hypericum very much. I suppose he didn’t understand what ‘as needed’ means.
As you know, homeopathy works for you humans just as it does for us animals. So if you injure yourself in an area with lots of nerves, you need Hypericum C200 or 1M. These globules should not be missing from any home medicine cabinet and should always be to hand – just in case! The likelihood is very high that you will need them at some point, after all you have over a billion nerve cells in your body.
Don’t try to convince me I’m getting on your last nerve. I don’t buy it.
Oh, and as my owner always says: Homeopathy helps, pass it on!
Yours sincerely, Buster
