Findings before the start of homeopathic treatment
- The uterus measures 7.1 x 5.7 x 4.8 cm; there is a tumour in the uterine wall, 5 x 4.2 cm in size.
- The ovaries are not visible.
- Cyst – no fluid could be detected.
- Lymph nodes in the groin are enlarged.
- Possibly uterine cancer?
- A histological examination with curettage had been recommended.
Homeopathic treatment
- Pyrogenium C200, one dose per week, to be taken at bedtime.
- Anxiety, restlessness and fever with chills improved, but the burning and foul-smelling discharge remained unchanged.
- Kreosotum C200 was prescribed, to be taken once a week at bedtime.
- Two weeks later the discharge had largely gone.
- The remedy was repeated.
One month after the start of homeopathic treatment
The patient still does not feel well.
- Four weeks after the start of treatment the discharge had disappeared, but she felt depressed and anxious.
- By nature she is gentle.
- Not thirsty, drinks only one glass of water a day.
- Pulsatilla 10M, to be taken fortnightly at bedtime.
- Additionally a placebo was prescribed, to be taken twice daily.
Six months later
- The tumour had shrunk to 2.6 x 2.3 cm.
- The lymph nodes are no longer enlarged.
- Pulsatilla 10 M was repeated.
One year later
- The uterus is of normal size: 51 x 26 x 31 mm.
- No adnexal tumour detected.
- Ultrasound examination unremarkable.
The case described here is a fine example of a revival of the vital force in an elderly woman in whom the natural self-healing powers were still present and were activated by the appropriate remedy. How can one heal a person by cutting off a part of them?
