Homeopathy for topical steroid withdrawal

News

Homeopathic help for skin conditions

By and large I am rather reluctant to share the successes I see day after day in my practice publicly. After all, I do not want to profit from my clients' suffering.

But in this case it is different.

One of my students – she is incredible – spontaneously told me about her own healing success and even documented it with photos. Her withdrawal from topical steroids can almost be called a miracle if you are not familiar with homeopathy. The before-and-after photos clearly demonstrate the power our homeopathic remedies possess!

The best part is that my student managed it all on her own and didn't have to spend a penny. She simply read my blog posts and listened to my podcasts.

You can achieve similar results!

At this point I would like to let Heather speak so she can tell her amazing story.

Topical steroid withdrawal and skin symptoms

***************************

"I have suffered from eczema all my life and repeatedly had to treat it with cortisone creams. Over the years I had to try the whole range – from low-dose hydrocortisone to strong glucocorticoids.

In July 2017 I found that cortisone was no longer working for me. At that time I had never heard of topical steroid addiction, but very quickly I experienced how unpleasant the withdrawal symptoms are.

An internet search helped me find out what was happening to me. I tried many things and nothing really helped.

What I went through was a real drug withdrawal. I could no longer regulate my body temperature (for many months I had chills and I was constantly cold), I barely slept (for over a year I averaged 2–3 hours per night, and then for a year no more than 5–6 hours). In addition there were terrible pains and itching.

At the end of November 2019 I was once again surfing the internet for something that might provide at least a little relief. By chance I found Joette's website and knew immediately that this was right for me.

I have always liked to use natural remedies where possible, but I had not yet found anything that helped me even remotely in this situation. Since I had nothing to lose, I thought it might help. If not, at least I would not have spent much money on it.

Homeopathy for itching

Here are the remedies that helped me the most:

First I took Antimonium crudum C6 twice daily (see When the skin is unbearably itchy).

Then I added Arsenicum album C200, also taken twice daily. Additionally, every other day I took Petroleum C200 because my skin was very dry and had deep cracks (you can read this recommendation under Cracked skin? Don't panic!).

I began my self-treatment at the beginning of December and was able to notice a slight improvement very quickly … within one or two weeks. That was better than anything I had tried before.

I was so pleasantly surprised that I decided to learn more about homeopathy.

The before photo is from January 2020. (When the photo was taken in mid-January my skin had already improved significantly, but it's the only photo I have from my "withdrawal period").

My after photo was taken at the beginning of August; I have now been taking the remedies for a total of nine months.
Before/after comparison:

Recently I stopped taking the Arsenicum album. I feel that the remedies helped with my itching, but it has not completely disappeared. Withdrawal from steroids can trigger very intense itching and mine was extreme. Even now, where my skin has healed over again, it still itches slightly. The great thing, however, is that my skin no longer splits open when I have to scratch.

A few days ago I read that the severe, deep-seated itching of a topical steroid withdrawal is related to nerve damage caused by the locally applied cortisone. That immediately made me think of Hypericum.

I have now started taking Hypericum C200 and really feel that my nerves have become calmer. It feels "more normal" when I scratch. I no longer have the urge to rub myself raw.

My withdrawal is not completely over yet, but the healing is progressing from top to bottom. My face has healed very well and I also see great progress on the rest of my body.

My body is in different phases of healing, but I can literally watch my symptoms improve with the homeopathic remedies. I am very happy to have found Joette and very grateful for everything I have learned from her." – Heather H.

********************************

I am always so pleased when people take my advice and are able to help themselves successfully!

Heather did her homework very thoroughly!

Above all, her idea to use Hypericum 200 for the severe itching shows that she studied the subject thoroughly. It is not a treatment protocol as such, but a well-considered choice of remedies.

Please don't forget: there are many, many homeopathic remedies that can be considered for itching. Heather demonstrated good judgement and chose the right ones. Homeopathic remedies are also medicines and should be taken with care. If you feel worse after taking a remedy, you must stop taking it.

What I want to say with this article: take your health into your own hands! No one can do that for you. I promise you that you can accomplish more than you think, even if you stumble along the way.

Do like Heather and read as much as you can. I have always said that health does not have to be expensive and Heather's case is a good example of that. Be your own hero.

And if you have achieved what seems impossible – tell others, because homeopathy helps!

Warmly,

Yours,
