Alternative treatment for hip and joint complaints
by Joette Calabrese

In carpentry you know it's better to measure twice and cut once. When it comes to our bodies, I'd say it's better not to cut at all!
Many people go to a surgeon first when they suffer from joint pain. Surgeons are, essentially, trained to perform operations.
It is extremely rare for patients to go to a surgeon and be informed there about alternative treatment options. Excellent doctors who can look beyond their own field are in short supply.
Homeopathy for joint pain
There are many ways to reduce joint pain: physiotherapy, Pilates, yoga and aqua aerobics are all sensible. However, nothing helps nearly as well as the gentle and long-lasting homeopathic approach.
Homeopathic remedies can relieve joint pain very successfully and even cure it.
I have personally seen planned operations cancelled because the homeopathic treatment worked so well! In other cases the procedure could be postponed for a very long time, sometimes even five to ten years. In many cases homeopathy gives us valuable time in which to calmly consider the further course of therapy.
Homeopathic treatment for hip pain
Between 2000 and 2010 hip surgeries in the USA more than doubled! How many of these procedures could probably have been avoided with homeopathy?
For the treatment of hip pain I generally recommend the following protocol:
- Symphytum C200 in combination with Calc phos C3 (according to Banerji), to be taken twice daily until the pain has improved significantly. (Calc phos can, if necessary, be substituted by Calc phos C6).
- Additionally Hypericum C200, twice daily, helps with extremely severe pain.
In my experience Aesculus C200 has also proven effective. Taken twice daily it can, under some circumstances, completely eliminate the pain without the need for any other remedy.
Avoid unnecessary procedures
That does not mean that homeopathy can work miracles in all cases or that all orthopaedic procedures are unnecessary. It always depends on the injury and the degree of wear in the joint.
However, I firmly believe that surgery should be the last, not the first, resort.
If a surgical procedure is unavoidable, homeopathic remedies can be given before and after to avoid complications and to accelerate the healing process. What you can do for postoperative pain I wrote about in this blog: Surgery? S stands for Staphisagria
If, despite all precautions, wound healing problems occur, it is worth thinking of homeopathy first: Nothing for the faint-hearted
It doesn't matter how severe your pain is or how advanced the wear in the joint is; an accompanying homeopathic treatment should always be part of the therapy. It is the versatile, elegant and effective treatment method we all wish for.
Stay independent
AND: In view of current politics and the enormous influence of the big pharmaceutical companies, I strongly urge you to become independent. Take your health into your own hands! Set up a small but well-stocked home medicine cabinet and learn as much as you can about your homeopathic household remedies.
Step it up (Big Pharma is currently going full throttle) and stay independent. Be your own hero. I am here to support you on your journey.
Yours sincerely,
