Produktinformationen
First German edition of the “Homeopathic Clinical Repertory”, which in the USA has already overtaken many other major repertories.
One advantage is its simple alphabetical structure, which makes it easy to use and gives even beginners quick access. Nevertheless, some prior knowledge of homeopathy is of great benefit for working with it. Many homeopaths have confirmed that the work is handy and practical, and that they have used only Murphy since they discovered it. In terms of scope it is on a par with other large repertories (over 2,300 remedies).
Unique to this repertory is a clinical section that brings together clinical conditions and diagnoses that are scattered across rubrics in other repertories. There are also chapters on children, pregnancy, vaccinations, constitution and poisoning by various substances, plus a word index that you will not find in other repertories. Furthermore, it contains new clinical rubrics on topics such as Ebola, ADHD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and multiple sclerosis.

Clinical Repertory and Clinical Materia Medica as a set
Dr Shashi Kant Tiwari writes in his book The Essentials of Repertorization: “Homeopaths felt an urgent and ongoing need for a repertory that keeps pace with the speed of development in modern pathology and internal medicine. That need has been met quite precisely by the appearance of the Medical Repertory by Robin Murphy, N.D.”
“This is a unique repertory that helps the practitioner find the simillimum based on both clinical and classical symptoms. The author has brought both approaches together, namely the classical and the clinical.”
“Murphy’s concept of totality is based on both clinical and classical homeopathic practice. It includes Kent’s general symptoms, all the symptoms of Bönninghausen, Boger’s pathological general symptoms and other solid clinical prescribing principles.
This repertory can be used for all types of cases:
1. in cases where mind symptoms and general symptoms prevail
2. where clinical symptoms/diagnoses are present
3. where pathological general symptoms/constitutions are present
4. where complete symptoms can be recorded
5. when there is a lack of symptoms”
The Clinical Repertory contains 74 alphabetically ordered chapters. For example, it is no longer necessary to know whether Stomach comes before Respiratory.
The body regions have been reorganised and divided into the following chapters:
- Arms, including upper and lower arms
- Pelvis including buttocks, sacroiliac joint, perineum, coccyx, etc.
- Legs including upper and lower legs, sciatica, shin, calves etc.
- Mammary glands including nipples, breast milk and breastfeeding
- Intestine including appendix, flatulence, ileocaecal region, caecum
- Elbows
- Feet including heels, soles, nails, toes
- Gallbladder including bile, gallstones, colic
- Brain and senses in general
- Joints in general
- Hands including thumbs, fingers, palms and nails
- Wrists in general
- Heart including palpitations
- Hip in general
- Knees including the kneecap
- Ankles including Achilles tendon
- Liver including jaundice and the portal venous system
- Spleen in general
- Muscles and tendons
- Shoulders including the armpit
- Tongue in general
New overarching chapters have been created:
- Glands including axillary lymph nodes, pancreas, parotid and thyroid
- Taste in general
- Bones in general
- Pulse in general
- Weakness in general
- Food including dislikes, appetite, thirst, drinks, cravings
- Speech including voice
Murphy has also created completely new chapters that are of great practical value:
- Vaccinations – types and side effects
- Children including development and behaviour
- Clinical chapter, includes blood, diseases, tissues, nerves, emergencies and pathologies
- Constitution including occupations, body build, complexion, temperament
- Cancer including chemotherapy, organs and radiation sickness
- Pregnancy including miscarriage, foetus, birth, labour and postpartum
- Poisonings including alcohol, chemicals, drugs, medicines and tobacco
- Time including seasons, periodicity, hours, times of day
The alphabetical order also makes it easier to find symptoms within chapters. So for “throbbing pains” you no longer need to know whether they are to be found under pain qualities or modalities. Nor do you have to search the large rubric “Pain”; you find the entry “throbbing pains” directly.
“The repertory is up to date and includes conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, agoraphobia, AIDS and other diagnoses that you would not expect in Kent’s repertory; it also includes many newer remedies such as Chocolate or Hydrogen.
Besides the many additional remedies and conditions, its great advantage is that it is the only modern repertory that is alphabetically ordered. I remember my first introductory course in homeopathy, where we spent the first part merely learning the structure of Kent’s repertory, because it does not present itself. Strangely, all other modern repertories, except Murphy’s, copied this odd structure and thereby make the use of our most important tool more difficult.
Murphy’s repertory is like fresh air that invigorates our spirits!”
