Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Buster, happy birthday to you!
Hello everyone! It's me again – Buster, the cheeky office dog! I've just turned 17! They say that corresponds to 119 human years (who exactly is this “they”?). I definitely don't feel like I'm 119.
At least not anymore.
In one of my blog posts I already wrote that my mum started giving me Ahhrf-nica (oops, of course I mean Arnica 30) for my heart problems. Yep, since then I'm full of beans again. Because homeopathy can do that!!
Do you remember how I wrote that Arnica can help with many complaints? And you know what? Shall I tell you something?? Okay, I'm excited and writing too fast, let's go in order.
New life for old dog ears
So, I've been deaf for years. I could still perceive high-pitched sounds – our squeaking sliding door, for example – but that was about it. I didn't react to the other doors in the house, nor could I hear music or my mum and dad calling (when the two of them tell their version of the story, it sounds as if they had screamed their lungs out for me!!!). They had to look me in the eyes and give me commands by hand signals.
You've probably heard that as you get older you don't hear as well, right? Now imagine the surprise when my mum – and this is really exciting – realised that my hearing was improving! This is no joke!! Of course I can't hear perfectly, but my hearing is working again!
Now they can call me in a normal voice and I hear it! This is especially handy at mealtimes. Also, I can keep an eye on our home much better again because I hear intruders right away. (They always tell me it's just the postman, but I'm not buying that.)
The ONLY thing they've been doing differently lately is the Arnica 30 they put in my water bowl. So it must have something to do with Arnica. I bet you see it the same way, right?
Believe me, it's sooo exciting to be able to hear again! But now of course I don't have any excuses when mum or dad want me to do something I don't want to. Hmm. I'll have to think about how to fake a little bit of deafness. But please don't tell on me!
Arnica and lipomas
Oh, and another thing: I had a huge lipoma on my chest. What's that? Mum taught me the word – it's a technical term for a benign fatty lump under the skin. My fatty lump was huge. In size somewhere between a table-tennis ball and a tennis ball. And it was hard too.
And guess what happened?
My lump has become smaller and softer! And again, there's only Arnica as a possible cause – my food is the same as before and I haven't been to the vet. Can you imagine that? So many wonderful changes just because my mum put Arnica 30 in my water bowl. By the way, you can find lots of good dosage information here.
Thanks to Arnica I'm fit again, my tail wags happily and I can even walk up the stairs by myself (before I had to be carried because I'd always run out of puff). I definitely feel better than I did a few months ago.
Listen, I know I won't live forever – even homeopathy can't change that. But that's okay. For my age I'm doing really well and I don't want to change that. It's actually quite nice to be a wise old dog. You know, over my 17 years I've learned a lot and I'd like to share a few of my insights with you.
- Don't run after cars. Believe me when I say you won't get anything out of them once you've latched onto one.
- Squirrels are a big nuisance. You have to drop everything to bark at them when they come into the garden. And worse – they BITE!!
- And the most important thing of all: listen to your owners, especially when it comes to homeopathy. And if you don't have an owner, listen to mine! To all the owners reading this: your people would do better to listen to you. With homeopathy you can help the whole family.
Oh dear – speaking of my mum, she calls me right away. I think she wants me away from her computer. Everyone pay close attention now … I'll just pretend I can't hear her. Hilarious!
Lots of love to you all,
Buster
