A cure for bowel cancer

What do we learn from a case? What do we learn from the healing process of an individual and from the relationship of trust between patient and homoeopath? Was it the remedies or the patient’s awakening self-healing powers that brought about the cure? Did the patient merely take the remedies without changing the circumstances that made them ill — or must a patient undergo holistic treatment with the central task of changing their thinking and feelings, their behaviour and their entire lifestyle? What lies behind this illness? Does the person need their illness in order to resolve their conflicts? I ask these questions at the outset because I want to make my attitude and my method of homoeopathic treatment clear; otherwise my way of taking a case might not be properly understood.
the site of manifestation of an illness is not accidental! behind a chronic disease there is always a conflict behind every cancer there is a biological or archaic and an emotional conflict because cancer is a very complex and complicated disease, the conflict must be resolved together with homoeopathic treatment and counselling in order to address the cause of the illness. My holistic concept consists of miasmatic homoeopathy, nutrition, support of basic bodily functions such as metabolism and the immune system, as well as breathing exercises to resolve the conflict. My patients know that they must work hard for their healing. I explain to them that they will heal at home under exactly the same circumstances that made them ill. My role is that of a comrade or good friend who offers some creative and helpful ideas.

Since there are quite different ideas about miasms, I would like to briefly explain my views. Each miasm has its own dynamics and physical manifestations. For me a miasm is not a fixed energetic state. I follow the logical process of bodily compensation. We have organs such as the skin and the hollow organs that work as needed, and essential organs that are permanently active. There is a logical sequence from one miasm to the next with regard to disease development and the healing process. There are only a few remedies that penetrate to the root of a miasm and heal its respective awakening negative or pathological aspects. In treatment I support the organism’s self-healing programmes through homoeopathy. Finally I would like to share my thoughts on cancer in general. I have observed many homoeopathically treated cancer cases that ended with tumour growth and a worsening clinical condition. In some of these cases homoeopathy was used alongside chemo- or radiotherapy, in others homoeopathy was used as the sole therapy. In my practice I treat cancer patients who have only recently been diagnosed and operated on but have not yet received additional chemotherapy, or who have discontinued chemotherapy at an early stage. With cancer I want, as often as possible, to experience true cure without relapse and to see stable health after healing. That is my goal, although I know I cannot accompany every patient on the path to recovery. My minimum requirement is that the patient is not burdened by chemotherapy and retains their full immune strength.

The table below shows my miasmatic concept and the corresponding remedies:

Miasma table

Case example M. is an excellent physician who was once a surgeon and later became a homoeopath. She came for treatment in 2006 because she constantly had blood in her stools, suffered from persistent fatigue and had a high level of stress in her life. During the last 10 years she had felt unwell but had never taken it seriously.

The case history revealed the following facts: scrofulous miasmatic basis; as a child she had scrofulous conditions such as otitis media, followed by allergies, hair loss and scorbutic gums. The current situation looked like this: no fever, no sweat, mystical experiences, forgetful (sycotic symptom). Numbness of the fingers when she bends them too long (syphilitic symptom). Family history included strokes, diabetes, tuberculosis, pancreatic and uterine cancer. Her conflict, which had manifested in the colon, arose from her lack of self-confidence.

Prescriptions
Thuja	Treatment began with Mercurius C30 + Thuja C30 alternating weekly. I started on the syphilitic basis with Mercurius and Thuja, which serve both as a push toward the sycotic level and to initiate clarification of the underlying problems. Response within 6 weeks: The sale of her practice caused chaos in her life; she frequently suffered from lower abdominal pain, ulcerative colitis.
This situation produced a positive feeling in her: "Now I know what is wrong in my life. I can see the chaos, things are becoming clearer."

Treatment: Acidum phosphoricum C30 + Sulfur C30. With this prescription I activate the tubercular/scrofulous level.

Response within 2 months: clear signs that the scrofulous level has not yet been reached and the sycotic level is still active. Her vital forces collapse. She is on the verge of burnout: "Nothing is working well in my life anymore." Constipation and bloating.

Treatment: Exercises for reconciliation with her family members; to activate her self-confidence and centre her energy system: Lycopodium C200 + Agaricus C30 alternating weekly; Manganum D6 daily to activate the immune system.

Response within 2 months: good feeling of reconciliation and inner peace, no more blood in the stools. Bloating and flu-like symptoms persist.

Treatment: Eupatorium C30 + Lycopodium C30 to heal the sycotic level. Recommendation to have her teeth checked.

Response: very good feeling of vitality, no more bowel problems, the teeth are fine. "I don't need any more treatment." I agreed, although my intuition told me that this was only a necessary pause; in her behaviour, attitude and overall appearance she still seemed stressed.

Six months later she returned with the following symptoms and diagnoses: blood in the stools, colon cancer, anaemia. Treatment: Carcinosinum C30 + Acidum nitricum C30. Healing diet of freshly pressed fruit and vegetable juices.

Response 5 weeks later: better sense of well-being, more vitality, bowels normal; she is preparing for surgery.

Treatment in preparation for surgery: Lycopodium C30 + Silicea C30.

Response: very small blood loss, good constitution, no anxiety; less bowel had to be removed than expected; 50% of the tumour tissue could be removed.

Aurum	Post-operative treatment: intensive work on her lack of self-confidence, rituals to let go of inherited problems and illnesses that she had taken on. Constitutionally Aurum C200 as a single dose. Response: increasing understanding of what she had taken on that did not belong in her personal life and what she can now let go of.
Extensive change of lifestyle: she now cares for herself and her emotional wishes and needs.

October 2008: the clinical examination results are very encouraging; the remaining 50% of the tumour tissue has regressed with the help of her strengthened immune system, the healing diet and the letting go of the underlying conflict that stood behind her colon cancer. M. said: "I tend to do too much for others. My inner child shouts 'now it's my turn!' 'Now I do what I want and I no longer put pressure on myself with sentences like 'I must'. I follow my inner feminine wisdom.'"

Final treatment: Sulfur C200.

Response: a good feeling in and on the skin. M. herself is a compassionate physician and understands very well that the disease must reach the psoric level and leave the organism via the skin. She now experiences what true health is — compared with her earlier sense of life before the cancer diagnosis.

To date M.'s intestinal mucosa are in perfect condition, her blood is fine and her self-confidence is stable. She has maintained her vegetarian lifestyle and has begun to develop her mediumistic abilities and her spiritual healing power.
