Creative cookery
Nik Sharma moved from Bombay to the USA to study molecular genetics. But in the end, cooking appealed to him more than a career in science. However, he took his spirit of research and his love of experimentation into the kitchen. Anyone who has a soft spot for the range of flavours, Indian influences, special recipe variations and likes to experiment themselves should enjoy this cookbook with an "Indian migration background" and breathtaking photos. As the saying goes: "You eat with your eyes". This is certainly true of this cookery book.

Keeps what it promises
Delicious recipes that can be prepared with easily available ingredients. Beautiful book with an appealing layout. I bought it as a defective copy, the defect does not detract from the book... I am absolutely satisfied.

I am enchanted
I was lucky enough to acquire this book at a super favourable price. A direct hit. Interesting recipes, even if some ingredients, e.g. jaggery, which I didn't know before, are not easy to get hold of. Beautiful pictures and personal stories, which I really like in cookery books like this. I think the preparation of the dishes is well explained. I haven't tried anything yet and won't try everything, but the tea soup is definitely on the agenda. There are many recipes for which you certainly have the ingredients at home and don't necessarily have to go shopping on the internet or at the supermarket. A great gift.
