Produktinformationen

That homeopathy can also perform remarkable things for dental conditions is less widely known.

The French dentist Jean Hégo, Professor of Dentistry in Lille, had many years of experience in the use of homeopathy in dentistry.

His work is extremely simple and handy and written for clinical practice. It comprises a manageable number of remedies and 22 important indications in dentistry such as injuries, gum inflammation, tooth decay, herpes and bleeding. The practical book is rounded off by a brief description of 44 commonly indicated remedies with valuable prescribing tips.

Alongside frequently used polychrests such as Arnica for injuries or Hypericum for inflammation of the periodontal ligament, Hégo also used lesser-known remedies — such as Hekla lava for salivary stones or Cheiranthus cheiri for problems during the eruption of wisdom teeth.

The work is ideal for quick reference and is aimed at both dentists and interested laypeople.

Jean Hégo

(1927-2013)
After studying dental surgery at the Faculty of Medicine in Lille (1945–1950), Jean Hégo worked in Bertry until he completed his doctoral thesis in the field of dental surgery in 1972. He then became a professor at the dental surgery faculty in Lille (1976). He was a member of the French National Academy of Dental Surgery and remained active in teaching until 1993.

Jean Hégo came to homeopathy through A. Rouy, who was able to cure his wife of a chronic illness. This left a lasting impression on Hégo. He wanted to learn this healing art himself. He therefore began his studies with Prof. Aimé Benillouz, R. Zissu and Ch. Garcia and eventually became a leading homeopathic clinician himself.
Jean Hégo was involved in the introduction of a homeopathy diploma as part of postgraduate medical education at the dental faculty of Lille (1976).

Short, concise and to the point
A book not only for dentists who are open to homeopathy, but also for interested laypeople, because anyone can use it to positively influence dental diseases and visits to the dentist. This book could help dentists practising purely conventional medicine to find their way into complementary homeopathy without much effort.

disappointing according to the reading sample
I had expected more based on the reading sample, which I liked very much.

very helpful
A small, compact book that not only deals with tooth decay and gum complaints, but also topics such as neuralgia of the chewing apparatus, torticollis and dry mouth. Overall very comprehensive and helpful.

Pity
Here I have the feeling that it was simply "quickly written together". Even common terms such as periodontitis or paradontosis cannot be found.

Periodontitis (the inflammation of the gums in the sample) and paradontosis are not diseases that should be treated quickly with acute remedies. There are very deep miasmatic processes behind these diseases. For this reason, it is not the disease that is treated, but your entire organism, in which something is out of balance. In this case, the miasmatic process must be treated. However, a pretty little booklet like this cannot impart such extensive knowledge; a therapist needs many years of study for this. So if you, dear Chris, are struggling with periodontitis or paradontosis, it would be a good idea to find a miasmatic homeopath who treats the cause of this disease and both diseases will be a thing of the past after a reasonable period of therapy. Incidentally, the same applies to the root canal inflammations and pulp diseases listed in the reading sample...

Chance hits instead of healing
In homeopathy, you can try to give a remedy according to a "proven indication" on the basis of a disease name, but this is often unsuccessful except that the sceptics are confirmed. A good prescription includes a good case report, in the simplest case at least a complete report of the local symptoms, even if this alone is often not sufficient for a reliable prescription. Not even this is described in the book and it remains with: "if you have this, then take this". Unfortunately, homeopathy doesn't work that simply and failures and mistrust in this art of healing are only reinforced. For me, a clear bad buy.

Inflated presentation
A thin booklet would have sufficed for this sparse information. There are too many half-empty pages and hardly anything that can't be found in the repertory anyway. I bought the book as a defective copy, but apart from the banality of the content, it has absolutely no external damage. This booklet is not even worth the reduced price!

Goes better
The individual remedies are only very poorly described, I would have liked a more comprehensive description.

Short and sweet
A good, short booklet that also offers a good overview for beginners. I can imagine that it will also encourage dentists to simply try out homeopathic remedies in one case or another.

Treatment
I would have liked it if the disease and treatment had been explained a little more. I like the subsequent prescriptions for treatment.

As always, fast and uncomplicated delivery. The book is understandable and realisable for laymen. If you don't know a technical term, you can look it up.
