A little extra with a nutrient boost

Spirulina Treats from Uniterra are a vegan supplementary food for dogs with the nutrient-rich micro-algae spirulina. This treat motivates your dog to run that extra mile while providing an additional portion of valuable micronutrients. These sticks give rewards that make it easier to teach your four-legged friend toilet training and other rules and patterns of clear communication. Pampering with a clear conscience: Spirulina Treats for Dogs are vegan and contain neither cereal nor sugar replacements.

The composition of our treats – or why they taste so good to dogs

Good nutrition is basic for wellbeing and a long, active dog's life. Therefore for our vegan Spirulina Treats we only use high-quality ingredients with a wide range of nutrients. These little treats are made of potato, sweet potato, peas, alfalfa, spinach, spirulina and sea algae powder. This guarantees a varied mix of protein, plant fat, fibre and micronutrients.

Dogs also like it green

The idea of plant treats for dogs is still greeted with amazement although there are more and more of them available these days. A highly regarded study by a British-Australian research team found that a balanced vegan diet can even be healthy for dogs. The oldest known dog in the world, which reached the age of 27, was vegan. Our spirulina sticks have an impressive protein and micronutrient profile. The micro-alga spirulina peps up our treats with its naturally high nutrient density with low energy content. In addition low-meat or even meat-free animal food can help protect the climate and animal welfare.

Each packet of Veggie Treats for Dogs contain 150 g of treats.

Green power
He digests the treats visibly well, nice and green in any case (😁). Since I've been feeding my dog spirulina, his digestion has been well activated with an optimal consistency. As I also collect his poo, of course, I have good control over his bowel function, as his faeces say a lot about his state of health. I am convinced that meat-free would also be healthy for dogs, which is not entirely possible with my doggy, but he loves the variety. I incorporate as many "guti "s" as possible that are meat-free as compensation. Since he's had the spirulina treats, the need to eat grass outside has been greatly reduced, so you can cover and compensate for certain nutritional needs or deficiencies in the dog. They crunch so nicely and he bites into them with relish. The green in spirulina is chlorophyll, which acts against oxidative stress and is very important for skin regeneration. As he has atopic dermatitis and because spirulina has an anti-inflammatory effect, the treats will also be given in future.

Pellets too big
My 9.5kg dog has great difficulty biting into these huge pellets. A they are rock hard and B far too big for small dogs. However, she likes the flavour. The quantity is missing completely, because the feeding recommendation on the packaging is meaningless! (FEEDING RECOMMENDATION Serve as a snack in small quantities in addition to regular meals. Always provide fresh drinking water). What does that mean for a 9.5kg dog 1 pellet per day or 3,4,5? As Sprulina is contained in spirulina products for humans, the quantity per day and weight of the dog should be stated on the packaging.

Dog loves these treats
They are eaten with pleasure. As our dog has renal insufficiency, she only gets vegetarian treats for in-between meals. These are a great change.
