For the small-flake oats from Spielberger Mühle the whole grain is kiln‑dried, crushed, steamed and then rolled into a fine flake. This preserves all the nutrients of the whole grain.
Oat flakes are a staple for mueslis, patties, desserts and soups. You can enjoy the oats without cooking or soaking them first. Prepared hot or cold with milk, juice, a cereal drink, etc. and some fruit, they make a quick meal.
