  • Entscheiden Sie, was Sie wirklich erreichen wollen
  • Legen Sie Ihre Zielrichtung fest

− Cal Newport, New-York-Times-Bestseller-Autor

Get out of the hamster wheel
In his book "Set Your Focus", New York Times bestselling author MICHAEL HYATT advises readers to learn to concentrate on the essentials! The whole book is one big resource. There is a hierarchy of actions that help you stay focussed. All with plenty of exercises and lots of scientific explanations. At the end of each chapter we find exercises to put into practice. Everything is designed so that you can incorporate it into your everyday life. The aim is to work less and more efficiently. To this end, we find unusual tips such as the not-to-do list (which is already hanging on my fridge). In other words, it's all about making everyday life more productive. According to the author, productivity has nothing to do with getting a LOT done, but rather with setting the right priorities. Only those who know what they want to achieve can set the right priorities in everyday life. So: work less, but more efficiently. Primarily do what you can AND what you like. Because otherwise the job will eat us up! Great reading, not just for managers, but for everyone, including housewives and tradespeople. I am not a manager either, but a therapist and have found many new solutions for my life in order to live more effectively and more fully.

Different and better
At first I thought: Ok, another US guidebook with tips for a more effective life that have long since been overdone - and initially leafed through the book with a little bias. But my interest grew with every page. In fact, I find this guidebook to be miles better than many others I know on the subject of "focussing on the essentials". Michael Hyatt's writing is not only likeable and catchy, but his concrete and practical advice on how to better prioritise important issues in life is really good. I had a few aha moments and will definitely recommend the book to others.
