Where can these nutrients be found in the daily diet?
Grapefruit and elderberry juice can of course also be included in the daily diet. Vitamin C is found in many berries, citrus fruits, sweet potatoes and other fruits and vegetables. Zinc is mainly found in animal foods such as pork, beef, fish and crustaceans, eggs, milk and cheese. Plant sources include legumes, nuts and cereals. Quercetin is present in onions, blueberries, red grapes, apples, kale and capers.
Why UNIimmun capsules are a sensible supplement
Plant sources contain only small amounts of zinc and it is also less bioavailable than zinc from animal sources. Therefore, complementary supplementation—for example with UNIimmun—is recommended for exclusively plant-based diets.
