Set: Organic Hemp Oil 1,000 ml (4 x 250 ml) - by Unimedica
Hemp is not only a versatile crop and useful plant, but also one of the most highly developed plants on Earth. It uses solar energy more effectively than many other plants. In particular, hemp oil is highly prized. It is rich in protein and vitamins — especially vitamin E — and also contains the relatively rare gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an important omega-6 fatty acid. Also noteworthy are the phytosterols present and numerous minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. Delicious in salads, pesto, smoothies or baked goods.

Produktinformationen
Hemp oil in unrefined, natural quality from organic cultivation for a special indulgence
The oil from the seeds of the traditional crop hemp can be used in the kitchen to enhance salads and other dishes, for baking (below 165°C) and also in the cosmetic sector for skin care in many ways. The high content of unsaturated fatty acids makes hemp oil particularly valuable. THC and cannabinoids, by contrast, are present only in negligible amounts.
Our hemp seeds come from certified organic cultivation and are processed using a gentle cold-pressing method. This method ensures that all valuable constituents and the slightly nutty, herbaceous flavour of the oil are preserved. Only the oil from the first cold pressing, which has the highest concentration of the natural constituents, is used, making this organic hemp oil particularly high quality.
Unsaturated fatty acids for balance and well-being
Hemp oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, which can contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels, provided they replace saturated fats in the diet.
Hemp oil naturally contains the important omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in the optimal ratio of 1:3 and also supplies other valuable bioactive compounds. This balanced ratio of fatty acids is rare in the modern diet and can help support a healthy lifestyle.
Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that our body needs but cannot produce itself. They are crucial for the formation of cell membranes and play an important role in numerous metabolic functions.
Alternative dietary sources of unsaturated fatty acids
In addition to hemp oil, unsaturated fatty acids can also be obtained from fish, linseed, walnuts and certain vegetable oils. However, organic hemp oil offers a composition that is particularly favourable for the human body.
What is hemp?
Hemp (Cannabis sativa) has long been used as a crop for the production of textiles and ropes, cooking oil and essential oil. The herbaceous plants have finger-like leaves and strong fibres, which make them interesting as a useful crop. Industrial hemp contains almost no THC.
Hemp has also long been used as an intoxicant. However, only the resinous flowers of the female plants are used for this purpose, and these are not used for hemp oil intended as food.
Effects*
Replacing saturated fatty acids with mono- and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.
