too short shelf life
I am satisfied with the product. However, the shelf life of one pack is too short. I can only start taking it in July. The second product therefore needs to be good until July 2028, but it only has a best-before date of March 2028. Yours sincerely Gerhard Pohl

Normally 400mg should be enough. However, there may be various reasons why more is needed individually. For example, if a very high dose of vitamin D3 is taken, there is also an increased need for magnesium. Just try it out to see if 400mg is enough to prevent cramps. If it is not enough, then simply increase the dose. But be careful, too much magnesium can also lead to diarrhoea.

This is a magnesium dietary supplement, in the form of magnesium oxide. I’ll quickly explain what’s on the label and whether it’s “good”: 🔍 What’s inside? Magnesium oxide: 667 mg per capsule Elemental magnesium: 400 mg That’s 107% of the daily requirement (according to the reference intake) 👉 Meaning: One capsule more than covers your daily requirement. ⚠️ Important to know (decisive!) Magnesium oxide has a drawback: ❗ Poor bioavailability (less well absorbed by the body) ❗ Can cause diarrhoea more easily 👉 A large part is simply excreted again 👍 Advantages Affordable High amount of magnesium per capsule Long shelf life 👎 Disadvantages Less well absorbed than other forms Often causes gastrointestinal issues in sensitive people 🔄 Better alternatives (if you need targeted effects) If you want to absorb magnesium effectively, these forms are better: Magnesium citrate → good absorption, mildly laxative Magnesium glycinate → very well tolerated, ideal in the evening Magnesium malate → good for tiredness 💡 My honest advice For “just taking magnesium casually” → fine For cramps, nerve issues or targeted effects → better choose another form
