Colloidal Germanium from Unimedica is 99.99% pure. It contains 50 mg of germanium in 1 litre of purified water, with no additives.
Colloidal germanium refers to the dispersion of germanium ions in water. This means the germanium is ionised by electrolysis (electrically charged), so that positive ions are distributed as the smallest particles in the highly pure water.
To prevent the ions from discharging too quickly, colloidal germanium should be stored cool, protected from light, and kept away from sources of electrical fields such as refrigerators, microwaves and other electrical/electronic devices.
A brilliant discovery
Germanium is a silvery, lustrous metalloid, i.e. it has properties of both metals and non-metals. It is mainly recovered as a by‑product of zinc extraction.
Its existence was predicted by the Russian scientist Mendeleev using the periodic table of the elements and first detected by the German chemist Clemens Winkler in 1885. Hence the name germanium.
