The Japanese pagoda tree (Sophora japonica) comes from East Asia. A gentle extraction process using the flowers produces its natural gift to Blossom Dream*: quercetin.

Quercetin is a flavonoid, a yellow plant pigment from the polyphenol group. It is concentrated above all in the flowers of the Japanese pagoda tree. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) values the Japanese pagoda tree with its active plant ingredient, quercetin.

Kindling the oriental fire of black cumin

Black cumin (Nigella sativa) belongs to the buttercup or crowfoot family. It is not related to cumin. The plant originally comes from West Asia and the Mediterranean.

Black cumin is especially prized in North Africa, where it is used in traditional medicine. Its aromatic ingredients have also secured it a firm place in the daily nutrition of the Orient.

The enzyme complex bromelain is typical of the pineapple family. To obtain this valuable plant substance, it is first extracted from the stem and fruit of the pineapple.
