The UF membrane filters very small particles and can retain bacteria much like a ceramic filter. The lifespan of the UF membrane depends on the characteristics of the drinking water you wish to filter. If you often filter water with many suspended particles, we recommend replacing the filter approximately every 50 litres. If you use fairly clear water, several hundred litres can be filtered without problems.
Cleaning: If you take the filter out of service, it is advisable to perform an intensive cleaning with citric acid before drying.
