The "Practical Guide to Repertorisation" by Marion Fünfrocken is one of the most interesting and helpful new publications of 2017, especially for budding homeopaths. The author has succeeded in creating a very easy-to-understand, technically sound and didactically well structured introduction to the field of repertorisation with her textbook. You can feel Mrs Fünfrocken's extensive practical experience as a homeopath and lecturer in the clear structure of the book. The basic technique of repertorisation in classical homeopathy is explained step by step in the variants of Kent's method. It is very pleasing that the author deliberately uses a very clear and concise presentation. You will look in vain for long-winded explanations, constant repetitions, complicated trains of thought and hypothetical considerations in this practical guide. The student learns about the benefits, possibilities and pitfalls of repertorisation in a technically sound and clearly formulated manner. The practical exercises and example cases encourage familiarisation with the repertory and guide practical implementation. The explanations and solutions presented for the exercises are precise, easy to understand and detailed. Even the first example case of "acute lumbalgia" clearly illustrates the importance of repertorisation in proper homeopathic work, in addition to presenting professional case analysis, evaluation of symptoms and correct repertorisation. This work step and the comparative materia medica study must always complement each other in the choice of simile. The quality of the edition in printing, binding and graphic design also leaves nothing to be desired. Very good value for money in every respect. The book is clearly and concisely designed and invites attentive and at the same time "relaxed" study thanks to its numerous illustrations, tables and visual aids. The "Practical Guide to Repertorisation" by Marion Fünfrocken is a book that I will warmly recommend to all my homeopathy students as a companion to the theoretical and practical development of Kent's repertorisation method in class. And as an old hand and lecturer, I too have learnt a thing or two.

A MUST! I read the title of a book that made me curious. It was a "guide" - and then also one for repertorisation (a word that is often incomprehensible not only to laypeople)! Sounds exciting! My treasure chest gave it to me and I bought the good piece. I looked for a cosy spot in the spring sunshine, which was basically ideal for reading entertaining articles. However, I had the "Practical Guide to Repertorisation" in my hand. After a short time, I picked up Synthesis and a laptop, and later a Materia medica as well: you want to be able to keep up! Formally framed in the heavy basic homeopathic literature, supported by high-tech devices, I was physically almost motionless, but mentally more than lively as I travelled through the jungle of homeopathic symptoms and prescriptions. The feeling arises that she has written down with a light pen and - above all - with a cheerful disposition what she has learnt, had to learn, wanted to learn in many years of dealing with homeopathic remedies, Mrs Fünfrocken! With her clear and concise descriptions of repertorisation routes and rubrics, symptoms and remedy selection, she gives us a glimpse into the toolbox of homeopathy, points out important tools and explains their use without any schoolmastery. In the case exercises that follow, everything that has been explained and described is repeated using practical examples, explained again and substantiated. I was particularly pleased that case examples from the treatment of animals were also used, as this once again emphasised the importance of anamnesis, of looking at things properly. At no point in the book did I find a sternly raised index finger, but very often a "yes, that's right, that's exactly how it was..." went through my mind. It is simply a wonderful book for all those who think they already know how to do it and also for those who still want to learn how to REPERTORISE. Thank you, Mrs Fünfrocken, for this great book! Mrs Fünfrocken is absolutely right in her observation: what homeopathy Hans does not learn, Hans will never learn again, because he has read far too little into as many differently structured r e p e r t o r i e s as possible right from the start.
