Very tasty!
"I don't argue with non-vegans, I cook for them. If you put a plate of food in front of someone, whether it's vegan or not, and it tastes good, they're going to enjoy it." - Gaz Oakley Gaz Oakley is a vegan chef and cookbook author from Wales. This is his third cookery book and the first book I've tried from him. The hardback book is an eye-catcher: a robust cover, high-quality pages with an appealing font and lots of specially designed pictures make you want to start cooking straight away. The book contains various categories, including breakfast, soups, snacks and appetisers, pasta, curries, main courses, oven dishes, burgers, vegetables, side dishes and salads as well as desserts. Small symbols indicate whether the recipe is gluten-free, high in protein, suitable for meal prep or only takes up to 15 minutes to prepare. You get really hungry just leafing through the book. I have tried several dishes in the book so far. All of them were easy to understand and tasted good, none of the recipes so far have tasted boring. The ingredients were more or less readily available. My favourite so far is the "aromatic peanut curry", which we have cooked several times since receiving the book and always goes down just great (see photo). However, it has to be said that the recipes are by no means all quick, as the subtitle of the book suggests. But the flavour easily makes up for this. All in all, a special and well-made vegan cookery book that I will return to again and again!

Hip, practical cookery book for young people and large families
We love this cookery book! All members of the family (except the toddler) have already enthusiastically cooked many of the recipes. I used to think vegan dishes weren't filling, but that's not true. Many of my friends are now vegan. At a party, you can quickly conjure up a fantastic vegan recipe with this book. (My vegan friends and acquaintances used to always bring their own food because they were afraid that dishes would contain animal products. That has now come to an end!)What I particularly like about this book is that the recipes are quick to cook and can be adapted to suit different requirements. For example, for our family. Parents, teenagers, primary school children and toddlers. Everything has to be quick in the morning. But older children are at school all day and need packed lunches (no food can be sold at school due to corona), so the BBQ bean burger on page 150, for example, is suitable. Easy to eat at school without cutlery and filling, and also really tasty!(Cooking time less than 15 minutes) Mixture for patties also tastes great as a filling for avocados, for example. Toddlers also like to eat this mixture as a mash, and there are several recipes like this. These recipes are great for health-conscious people who want to take their own food to the office. It tastes great and is so quick! You can save a lot of money this way! Many ingredients for the recipes can be found in unpackaged shops! (Zero waste shop) Ingredients are not necessarily expensive either! This cookbook is really hip and has large, very inviting photos! The author seems very cool and likeable! This book makes a great gift, especially for young people! I know so many vegan teens! Also, this book is very good for learning to cook! Many students are now meeting at home to cook together. I see this as a mum and also with friends' children. This book is very popular! We particularly liked: Jamaican Vegetable Cuisine, all the burgers and also soups. My favourite dish for our family on Sundays or birthdays is the BBQ meatloaf. I want to make it for Christmas this year! Many recipes taste nutty and make you look forward to autumn and Christmas. We particularly like the cake on page 207 "Aromatic spice cake"!!! I will be making this for Halloween and Advent! This book is highly recommended, even for non-vegans, as the dishes are simply fantastic!
