Authentic Pashmina shawls from Indian Kashmir

A genuine Pashmina shawl is something special and comes from an ancient craft tradition. The material is incredibly light yet surprisingly warm. Pashminas are known for being so feather‑light that they can even be pulled through a ring.

Small traditional Indian company

We source our Pashmina shawls directly from the Indian Kashmir region from a small company. For over 50 years they have hand‑made Pashmina shawls on traditional looms. The company is SEDEX‑verified, meaning they follow social and ethical principles. With measurements of 70 x 200 cm the shawl is versatile – whether as a warming shoulder wrap or a stylish accessory. The Pashminas are available in several colours. The colours white and natural are uncoloured (undyed). The dyes are azo‑free.

Fine undercoat from the Changra goat

The harvesting of cashmere is a labour‑intensive process with a long tradition. The wool comes from the Changra goat, native to the high‑altitude regions of the Himalayas, including the Indian Kashmir area.
In late spring or early summer the goats naturally moult. During this process the fine undercoat, which forms the core of cashmere, loosens from the skin. The goatherds collect these valuable hairs by carefully combing the animals. Only the soft and fine undercoat is used for producing cashmere products, while the coarser outer hair is used for less luxurious purposes.

Centuries‑old craftsmanship

The collected wool is then cleaned, spun and made into high‑quality textiles such as our Pashmina shawl. Each stage of this process requires specialised expertise and a careful respect for the material to preserve the unique quality and softness of the cashmere.
This creates a product that honours the careful work and rich tradition woven into every thread. With a Pashmina shawl made from 100% cashmere you not only experience a wonderfully soft and warm accessory, but also carry a piece of authentic craftsmanship with you.

Care instructions

Pashmina shawls should be gently hand washed in lukewarm water or dry‑cleaned to ensure their quality and longevity.
