Organic hawthorn - 800 mg per daily dose (2 capsules) - 200 capsules - from Unimedica
Hawthorn is a plant easily recognised by its distinctive snow-white clusters of flowers, formed by many small white blossoms. As the name suggests, hawthorn has thorns to protect itself. In botany hawthorn has traditionally held an established place. It became famous for its reputation as a tonic for the heart and soul. In the past hawthorn was also sometimes thought to ward off evil magic, and branches were hung over gateways so that the sick could pass beneath them and supposedly cast off their ailments.

The hero of roads and verges
Hawthorn is tough. It often grows in rather inhospitable places and withstands wind and weather. To protect itself it produces numerous secondary plant compounds. The thorny, white-flowering tree has a long tradition in folk medicine, based on the belief that these secondary plant compounds also benefit our wellbeing. In 2019 hawthorn was chosen as Medicinal Plant of the Year.
Pure plant power from organic farming
Unimedica organic hawthorn capsules contain 800 mg of organic hawthorn powder per daily dose (2 capsules). The powder consists of dried and milled hawthorn flowers and leaves. The powder is enclosed in a plant-based cellulose capsule. Only hawthorn from certified organic cultivation is used for Unimedica organic hawthorn capsules.
The benefits of hawthorn conveniently available whenever you need them
Hawthorn is commonly used, for example, as a tea or burned as incense. We have dried and finely milled the hawthorn leaves and flowers and packed them into vegan capsules. This makes it easy to benefit from hawthorn’s advantages whenever required.
What kind of plant is hawthorn?
Hawthorn (Crataegus) belongs to the rose family. There are many species of hawthorn, and the plant goes by many names — for example it is also called Hagedorn. Its main area of distribution is eastern North America, but many species are also found in Germany and throughout Europe. Its snow-white blossoms with shoot thorns may be responsible for its name. Hawthorn has pale, fissured bark and hard wood.
Each jar of Unimedica organic hawthorn capsules contains 200 capsules. That corresponds to a 3-month supply.
