However, the calorie content is similar to household sugar and it naturally contains fructose. Coconut blossom sugar is light brown and finer-grained than cane sugar. How is coconut blossom sugar produced?
To produce coconut blossom sugar, the nectar from the inflorescences is collected, filtered and boiled until all the moisture has evaporated.
