Description

Thyme – versatile and valuable

The organic thyme oil from Unimedica is a pure essential oil. It is obtained from the delicate flowers and the herbaceous green of common thyme. Steam distillation yields a pale yellow oil that not only impresses with its fresh, herbaceous scent but is also suitable as a high-quality cosmetic for skincare, especially as a bath additive. Because of the gentle process, the natural constituents of the plant parts are largely preserved in their original composition.

The natural constituents of the organically grown thyme ensure the special quality of this essential thyme oil. The natural components of the organic thyme oil – limonene and linalool – not only contribute to the unique scent profile but are also indicators of the product's purity and naturalness.

The secret of thyme

The secret of thyme oil lies in its constituents. The oil from the flowers and herb of common thyme contains the essence of the culinary and medicinal herb in its purest form. Enriched by the natural components of thyme such as limonene and linalool, this oil offers a harmonious and soothing composition of valuable plant actives.

Each component helps to define the essential oil in its uniqueness. This is the result of careful selection and sustainable cultivation methods that ensure the purity and integrity of the thyme oil.

An essential oil with a soul

The constituents of the organic thyme oil represent the connection to nature, the power of plants and the tradition of natural skincare. They are a testament to the beauty and diversity of nature and its ability to provide us with valuable resources.

Other natural sources of plant compounds found in thyme oil

Many of the natural components of the oil, such as limonene and linalool, are also found in other plants and fruits. Citrus fruits, for example, are rich in limonene, while linalool often occurs in lavender and mint. It is fascinating how nature provides these valuable constituents from various sources.

A modest plant that richly rewards us

Thymus vulgaris is used for Unimedica's organic thyme oil. This is the so-called common thyme. Thyme is known as a medicinal and culinary herb and can be found in almost every herb garden, but also on sandy, nutrient-poor soils at verges, meadows or on masonry. Thyme plants are perennial, often semi-shrubby, with small leaves and have spike-like inflorescences with flowers that are often pink, violet or white.

Thyme has been used as incense since ancient times. Today thyme is still popular as a culinary herb and serves as a home remedy, for example dried as a tea. In this way, the essential oils of thyme and its natural constituents come into effect.

Extra tip for an alternative use: A few drops of thyme oil added to the water of an oil burner or to a scent stone fill the air with a herbaceous aroma that is pleasant for the airways.

Each bottle contains 10 ml of pure thyme essential oil.

Without undesirable additives

Unimedica organic thyme oil is a pure essential oil from the dried flowers and herb of common thyme. Steam-distilled.

A wonderful oil for all the senses!
The fragrance smells very refreshing, tart, lemony, floral and intense. As I love Mediterranean fragrances anyway, the thyme oil has also become a favourite. I use the oil in a variety of ways, e.g. putting a few drops of it on the fragrance stone next to the bed It has a fresh effect in the room, but is also calming, and I use it in the fragrance nebuliser. A few drops of it mixed into the hair shampoo works wonders on the scalp because it works against dandruff and stimulates hair growth. Thyme activates the blood circulation in the scalp! It is also excellent for treating a chesty cough. I put a few drops in almond oil (because it is odourless) and applied to the throat, neck and chest. It also made it easier for me to breathe deeply at night and therefore helped me sleep more restfully... more restful sleep...

Wonderful flavour and convincing effect
This oil is simply great! I love thyme oil in general, but this essential oil impresses in every respect. It saved us from the last wave of colds and everyone regularly inhaled it. It has a very good expectorant effect. It clears the airways and also has a wonderful Mediterranean flavour. Every now and then I even add a drop or two to my cleaning water together with the orange oil cleaner. Thyme disinfects super well and the aroma keeps ants away. Diluted well, it also helps with athlete's foot and makes a good combination with tea tree. Top.
