Produktinformationen

Strenuous, but interesting
The author's title and word creation describe, I think, very aptly the feeling of disorientation and emptiness resulting from a lack of maternal care. At the beginning of the book, however, the emphasis is placed on more serious cases in which the mother was completely absent for a variety of reasons. What is presumably intended to emphasise the situation through drastically chosen images, unfortunately had the effect that I did not feel addressed. And I also found the writing style exhausting as the book progressed, which meant that I was often inclined to stop reading, despite the valuable explanations it contained. It's a shame, because I find the topic itself extremely interesting.

good book
This book is a good read. The compact presentation of the topic of motherhood and its effects is very interesting, allows understanding for one's own injury to grow and a greater compassion for oneself to develop. I recommend it.

Quite good
Well, it wasn't an easy book. It didn't appeal to me either, but I read it for someone else. To be able to understand it better. It helped me to empathise with them better. There are 10 chapters that are quite easy to read. Now everyone can decide for themselves whether they want to read the book from cover to cover or read individual chapters that interest them. I have learnt a lot from reading this book. And understood some things better or even changed my perspective. Well, many of the problems we have as adults are hidden in our childhood. A clear reading recommendation from me.

A real help
This book is a very sensitive introduction to one of the most important topics a person could deal with in order to heal their wounds in a self-determined and mindful way. The descriptive explanations are very helpful in understanding the origins of this phenomenon. In between, the author addresses the reader herself to remind her of the added value of dealing with this sensitive topic for anyone affected if they decide to use this book as a guide for a mindful and responsible process of self-care.

Very worth reading
I found myself in the book. Although I have been working intensively with myself for many years, I have gained a completely new perspective on my own emotional world.

Profound
This book opened my eyes, as I had been thinking about the topic of "growing up without protection" for 10 years. I just didn't have the words to express what I felt at times. I realised so much about myself and my feelings today (49 years old) through reading this book. According to my self-assessment, I am a "severe case of mother hunger" and have not only experienced the issue of "defencelessness" but also many manipulations and assaults until recently. That's why reading the book triggered a lot in me. I found the book to be heavy fare and yet I can only recommend it (actually to every woman who is a mother, because the knowledge can also be used preventively). The author writes very sensitively about this painful subject. Healing is also what this book triggered in me.
