Very helpful book
This book describes a therapy approach for people with a weight problem: the focus of the book is on being overweight, but there is also some information on being underweight. The basic idea of the author and alternative practitioner Ms Sonnenschmidt is that people with a weight problem have lost their centre in every respect. Effective therapy must therefore be holistic: homeopathic medication is only a fraction of the therapy here, alongside psychotherapeutic ideas, medicinal juice therapy, breathing exercises, targeted skin care and ideas on intestinal cleansing. What does it mean to be off-centre? According to the author Mrs Sonnenschmidt, being underweight makes you feel psychologically heavy, so you lose weight and want to put on weight. But since the soul is heavy, it won't be that easy. If you are overweight, there is a lack of grounding, you feel too light as a soul and want to make yourself heavier by eating. So it is not the body weight that is the root of the problem, but the stressed soul. Therapy includes the adoption of a new lifestyle, a change in diet with fruit, medicinal juices and steamed vegetables, as these are easier to digest for the already disturbed digestive process. For Sonnenschmidt, the focus is on reorganising the patient's mental development! As a basic therapy, the acid-base balance must be improved. Breathing exercises play a major role as detoxification aids. The author has worked as a professional singer! The main therapy consists of a rhythmic change in diet, with a "pleasure day" on which you can eat anything you like and return to your usual eating habits. You should also organise your food in an aesthetically pleasing way. These may be trivialities, but they show that the author takes a holistic approach. The dietary changes are complemented by an Asian-style exercise to "overcome your inner bastard". The second main section of the book, 40 pages, is devoted to homeopathy, which is also of interest to the homeopathic layperson. Mrs Sonnenschmidt focuses on the constitution of the affected person and the intestinal nosodes, so specialist knowledge is required to implement this. Anyone who wants to try their hand at homeopathy because they use a home remedy will get valuable suggestions from this book. However, when buying this book you should assume that the cases described here are serious illnesses such as anorexia, severe obesity or bulimia. Personally, I always recommend professional therapy and not going it alone. A book is not enough. However, in milder cases, this book can provide good practical help for everyday eating. Summary: Easy to read for lay people; pragmatic approach; healing food easy to implement. Also a book for homeopaths, but also recommended for other healers who deal with the subject and are looking for a new perspective, such as doctors and psychologists, nutritionists or alternative practitioners.

The right words about weight!
As expected: Competent and useful! - Highly recommended! "When you're overweight, you unconsciously feel too light. There is a lack of grounding and you weigh yourself down with food. If you are underweight, you perceive yourself as too heavy and relieve yourself by not eating." An interesting fact, quite understandable and a completely new approach to dietetics. CLASS!!!

Great book
For about 30 years I have had more and less pounds on my ribs. After reading...finally - a ray of hope. For the first time I think I recognise and understand the cause of my weight problem. Thank you very much. Previous knowledge of naturopathy is an advantage, but not essential.
