Produktinformationen
There have been many attempts to determine the leading symptoms of remedies, but few have succeeded as well as H.C. Allen. Several generations of homeopathic physicians have worked successfully with this work, such as the doctors of the renowned school of Calcutta. With its clinically oriented approach they treated the most severe illnesses successfully. The modern psychological emphasis has to some extent displaced this approach, but the two methods can complement each other very well if one is familiar with them and knows how to use them.
Towards the end of his life Allen published a second, more extensive major work, which many even consider his best:
The Materia Medica of the Nosodes. He himself condensed part of it, such as Medorrhin and Lyssin, into abbreviated form and incorporated them into the second edition of his Leading Symptoms. This greatly expanded second edition was reprinted unchanged in many further editions as the standard work after his sudden death. An English edition of the Leading Symptoms had long been available in India, which also included, as an appendix, an abbreviated version of all the nosodes. But the German edition had until now been missing many important nosodes and sarcodes such as Adrenaline, Cholesterol, Malandrin and Ustilago, to name but a few. The majority of these nosodes were extensively tested. Fourteen nosodes were only briefly touched on by Allen and presented fragmentarily. The present new translation now integrates these missing nosodes in abridged form for the first time. Thus, for the first time the complete Leading Symptoms of all of H.C. Allen's remedies are available in full in German.
For quicker reference we have reorganised the original continuous listing of symptoms into a head-to-toe format. This makes it quicker at the bedside to find what you are looking for and you do not always have to read an entire remedy to find a particular symptom.

"I'm a student and it's one of my most-used books. I love it because it helps me internalise the leading symptoms. My copy recently went missing; I now need a replacement immediately so I can note my own comments in the margins."
