It is above all the successful writing style of these stories and medicinal pictures that makes it almost impossible to put the book down. The AMBs are much easier to internalise than when only "dry facts" are presented. I really like the book!

I really like the book. The very vividly described practical cases give a deep insight into the respective remedy - far removed from a purely symptomatic prescription. It is also well organised, as the remedy sought is not given immediately. I haven't read such an exciting homeopathic book for a long time.

The individual remedies are very well described, as are the characters they fit in with.

I am thrilled with this book. I've only just received it and haven't read it all the way through yet due to time constraints, although I'd like to read it in one go. It is written as interestingly as a novel, but with expert knowledge. It's fun to gradually discover the remedy for yourself. Normally you know in advance which remedy you are going to read about. That alone makes the whole thing much more exciting. The differential diagnosis is also very instructive. A big compliment to the author! I would be very happy to see another edition with other remedies.

Reads well. Partly recognisable, partly with an aha effect. It opens up new perspectives or confirms acquired knowledge.

With his homeopathic portraits, Philippe Servais has written a book that is as entertaining as it is informative, from which both beginners and practitioners experienced in homeopathy can benefit. You can really work through it. I have noted the name of the remedy found after each case example in the table of contents at the front, so that I can also use the book as a reference book at the end. There is also a drug index in the service section, but this is organised alphabetically and not in order. The book is well structured. The 40 portraits comprise five to ten pages and present cases that have been treated over many years in some cases. Sometimes basic information is explained in info boxes. Servai's language and approach is light and elegant, compassionate and pleasant. Initially, the respective remedy is not revealed and it is fun to ponder what it might be. After the anamnesis in the first part of the case histories, there is usually a case analysis; in the second part of the case histories, the remedy found is revealed under "Prescription" and presented in the remedy picture and related to the patient. Servais is a very good storyteller and is not afraid to report how often and with which remedies he was wrong in the course of a treatment. After all, you also learn from the mistakes of others. He easily achieves his aim of portraying the dynamics, but also the depth of a remedy (and the patient) in every case study. The book is also exciting for people who are interested in how homeopaths work, for example before a visit to the homeopath, and it could also be placed on the table in the waiting room. Those who already work homeopathically will certainly discover new nuances in well-known remedies. The way Servais uses different potencies is also interesting. Above all, however, he has really managed to capture the mood and unique meaning of each remedy in a way that the reader can understand. A worthwhile read!

even if you become somewhat resigned after a while in view of all the miracle cures - the book is entertaining and you always learn something. a representative of the lifelong constitutional remedy, you either like it or you don't. the "idea" of the remedies is sometimes unusual and vividly described. it's fun to read. unfortunately many grammatical errors, why doesn't anyone read over it before it is printed?
