See how in spring the elder tree, with its white clusters of flowers like a sky full of stars, stands in places imbued with wisdom and stretches its arms radiantly to the universe. So gentle and carefree as a young girl who has little inkling of all that lies within her. Yet the power of the elder reaches deep down. Everything it receives from the outside it draws into its roots. It is in constant exchange with the earth and the underworld. It knows exactly where the boundaries are and transforms the old with the knowledge and wisdom of a mature woman. When autumn comes, it brings forth the fertile essence in its deep violet fruits. Then the elder withdraws its sap and appears as if dead; the old simply breaks away. Yet in spring it awakens resplendently to new life, with juicy green beneath the bark. We have given the elder the oil of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) and thereby added another threshold plant alongside it.

Application
Ensure a draught‑free location, use a flat, level coaster and supervise the burning of your candle. Ensure the wick is trimmed if necessary and that the drip tray is clean (!).
The candles burn down in a delicate lattice pattern — this is intentional.
Remove the band before lighting and observe the instructions printed on it carefully.
After several hours' burn time, melting parts of the rim structure may cause the drip tray to overflow. To prevent this, we recommend extinguishing the candle and allowing it to cool first, or removing the rim.
