Highly original herbal tea recipes
A great book. It contains extremely original herbal tea recipes and is written with a lot of warmth and depth. You get a wealth of tips on how to grow your own herb garden, indoors or out, how to make tea, how to blend the herbs, how to store teas and herbs, about making cold and hot infusions and decoctions and how to train your taste buds. The author really knows her craft. A book that inspires and captivates. The photos are beautiful, the explanations lively and easy to understand. You will also find information on health problems such as autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol levels, depression and much more. A real treasure trove that is worthwhile.

Good source of inspiration for your own tea blends
The main focus of this book was the 100 different recipes. When I received the book, I was a little overwhelmed at first glance as I saw many ingredients that I didn't have on hand or didn't want to get. But after reading the book from cover to cover, I found more than enough mixes that I want to try or that inspired me. The use of mushrooms in tea blends was interesting. I liked that there are also so-called sun teas, which don't require boiling water but use the heat of the sun to extract the nutrients from the plants. I would have liked a glossary or a little more information on certain terms used. Even as a herb lover who has been studying the subject for several years, I find it difficult to remember everything. I like the overview pages at the end, which list all the teas and their ingredients. This allows you to quickly see which ingredients have just been harvested and can be used. I also found the herbal pyramid very informative, which provides a simple form of tea blending for beginners. The book is definitely an interesting read, but perhaps very niche orientated and you would need a huge store cupboard to make them all. 1/2 star deduction because I lacked more background information at times 1/2 star deduction because sometimes a lot of exotic ingredients are needed 1/2 star deduction because the author came across as a bit too esoteric in some places

Pity
I had expected more from it. Many of the herbs and ingredients used in the recipes are not found in our part of the world. You can't collect them yourself, you have to buy them.
