Whether consciously or unconsciously, we all long for a deep sense of connection – not only with other people, but with everything that surrounds us. A higher reality that permeates everything and that we can experience as God, love or light.
In fact, we are always connected to one another, for this is our true nature. We are part of the greater whole. When we experience this oneness in meditation, on a walk or in an intense encounter, it is a gift that touches our heart profoundly.
But in everyday life we often lose this feeling and live in the illusion of separation. To remind us of this connection, we have brought the essences together in our "Spirit of the Trees" collection to create a Sacred Grove. Such groves, where trees stand together as a strong community, exist in many cultures and religions around the world. They form a temple in which the sense of connection with the whole becomes tangible.
Such a divine forest is a bridge to an infinite space in which all boundaries dissolve and in which bliss and perfect harmony prevail.
Everything and everyone has their place in this space. We are all fellow creatures of the greater whole, however different we may be. The Sacred Grove reminds us that the Earth is not merely a resource. As its inhabitants we bear responsibility for the animals and for nature, our shared habitat.
Ultimately each of us carries a Sacred Grove within – a place of connection inside us. From this space we can perceive and understand others with all their uniqueness. There is little more fulfilling than feeling fully accepted and recognising others as part of our lives.
If we nurture this connection by giving time and undivided attention to those we love most, the Sacred Grove in our hearts can grow and flourish again.
In this way we can give ourselves and others no finer gift than to show by a loving gesture that we are close to them and to say, "How wonderful that you are in my life."
In the Sacred Grove all the energies of the "Spirit of the Trees" series come together, supported by the earthy scent of vetiver.
Application
Place in a draught-free location, use a flat, level coaster and supervise your candle while it burns. Ensure the wick is trimmed if necessary and that the drip tray is clean (!).
The candles burn down forming a delicate lattice pattern — this is intentional.
Remove the band before lighting and follow the instructions on it carefully.
After several hours of burning, parts of the rim structure may melt and cause the drip tray to overflow. To prevent this, we recommend extinguishing the candle and allowing it to cool beforehand, or removing the rim.
