The new book by Matthew Kenney, one of the best-known raw food chefs with several restaurants in the USA and the world's first raw food cookery school, and his colleague Meredith Baird, presents a fresh, young, light-hearted raw food detox cuisine that offers the reader an uncomplicated approach and easy integration into everyday life. In fact it is also a mental problem to integrate raw food into everyday life. With Meredith Baird's book, it seems quite easy to adopt pureed fruit and greens, juices and vegetables, infusions and breakfast tonics, dips, starters and wraps, salad and soup tonics, main meals and grain dishes as normal meals. And the absolutely brilliant thing about raw food is that we also get rid of things in our bodies that shouldn't be there. Her introduction is also refreshing and at the same time very honest with the statement that the book is not a manual that solves all your/our problems and tells you/us how to eat, because there is no one way and because we are all completely different. The book ends with tips for skin and body tonics - raw food as beauty care and everything straight from the kitchen "pharmacy". But before these beauty tips can take effect, you first have to start with your body. That's my own experience.

The book is geared towards American ingredients, some of which you will struggle to get here. I was disappointed and had expected more.
