It is a book that you have to absorb slowly, bit by bit. Especially if you've let your ego take the lead so far. It takes time to learn, which I'm taking now, better than never. I'm glad I found it and bought it.

A very special book - and it takes time to read the more than 600 pages and let them sink in. So much profound truth.

Now I know why it's such a classic: every sentence is a hit that you have to think about, or rather feel. It comes from heaven and leads there if you are open to it. However, you should be prepared to read a lot and work on yourself.

I have not only been reading spiritual literature for almost 45 years, but have also taken part in almost countless seminars and lectures on the whole range of esotericism. This has enabled me to gain many deep insights and spiritual experiences that go far beyond our five senses. However, none of these have been of lasting value to me. It was only a stroke of fate, which befell me in my early sixties, that led me to read The One Course in Miracles. What then happened to me within just a few weeks is something even I can hardly believe in retrospect: I was able to work through the trauma I had previously suffered with the help of the course alone and therefore ultimately with the help of Jesus, the Holy Spirit and GOD for me. By consistently applying the exercises, I was able to stabilise myself again and accept what I had experienced. My previous arrogance towards others was transformed into love and understanding. I was able to gain profound spiritual experiences, including direct contact with Jesus himself. However, I have to say that I did the exercises very consistently. It may sound extreme, but when I had to do an exercise every ten minutes one day, I switched off the TV every ten minutes, then did my exercise for a minute and then continued watching until the next exercise. My wife, who has now done the course for the second or even third time, did not have any such realisations or experiences. However, she was also not prepared to integrate the exercises into her everyday life without any ifs or buts. I am therefore convinced that it is only possible to truly come into love and thus to God through regular and disciplined practice. And without any other teachers or Indian gurus. It was only in the first few weeks that I also listened to or watched the podcasts and some of the videos by Gottfried Sumser. After a while, however, Gottfried's individual interpretation of the course began to bother me. Since I've only been concentrating on the course and not talking about it with other people, I've been doing much better.

I finished the course in four days and in the meantime I have also read the text parts several times and listened to them as an audio book. I am not religious. And, I have completely immersed myself in this book. Nothing has changed my thinking as fundamentally for the better as this book. Now, after a brief period of ego rebellion, every moment of reading is my own personal Easter. So that time collapses into love. PS: Small picture comment from my daughter [4 years old].

The book should be required reading. If you want your liberation, you should read it.

Very nicely written

It's a wonderful book, definitely worth reading! It has an effect far beyond reading into everyday life and helps to see clearly.

A life-changing work

I haven't read much of this incredibly dense, in-depth work yet, but the little I have read is convincing and makes me curious about every new lesson!

I have not let it get into my bookcase. That's why I don't allow myself to pass judgement on people who have a different consciousness and respond to it. I love books that support me in my everyday life, clearly express how they can help me in situations. I know that it is often recommended by others. Just have a look on the internet and try it out.

The book is presented like holy scripture - and it probably is for many people. I was immediately put off by the layout, as for me there is only one Holy Scripture, namely the Bible. Leafing through the book diagonally, I couldn't get to grips with the authors' explanations. Research on the Internet confirmed my impression. The Jesus whose message the author apparently received via channelling has very little to do with the Jesus I know from the Bible. In addition, there is no belief in a creator God - personally, the first article of faith is very important to me. In the first exercise, you are asked to imagine everything that exists as non-existent. This exercise may tie in with various philosophical approaches, but for me it has nothing to do with the belief in a God who shows himself in creation. In short, I have returned the book. I'd rather look for a theologically sound work with texts for every day.
