Like a bible of natural medicine
This book has such a comprehensive knowledge of how to make your own herbal medicine that it can hardly be summarised in a few sentences. I am absolutely thrilled with the way it deals with the basics of collecting, processing and using medicinal plants. It opens up the incredible world of natural medicine to the reader in a way that is both detailed and easy to understand for laypeople. The basics are presented in a logical and practice-orientated way in order to build up knowledge which, in combination with the subsequent learning of the production methods of typical dosage forms, enables the reader to easily implement the recipes contained in the book. The level of difficulty of the techniques used varies considerably, covering a wide range that will appeal to both beginners and readers experienced in natural medicine. However, this book does not provide help in identifying the required herbs. It presents the individual plants and their effects and uses, but does not explicitly go into their identification characteristics. However, as the book would already be very heavy and too unwieldy to take with you even without this addition, I don't see this as a disadvantage and prefer to use a corresponding identification book for use in nature. I myself have been able to expand my knowledge immensely with the help of the modern herbal pharmacy and have learnt to understand the basics, their interrelationships and modes of action. Yes, for me this book is a real treasure that will certainly serve me well for many years to come. I now feel equipped to use natural medicine in a more targeted way and dare to try procedures that were previously unknown to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

A book full of ideas, suggestions & implementation options
The very natural cover with the special title immediately appealed to me. I have been working with medicinal herbs for quite a while, but this book, this guide, is unique in its handling and implementation. After a very detailed and clear table of contents, I was able to read the wonderful introduction to herbal medicine. This reports in a very appreciative way about our nature, the plants native to it, the processes they go through and in what form they can be useful for us humans and animals. We can reconsider whether it is really necessary to consult a doctor in every situation or whether we should simply take a step into nature to make use of the various medicinal herbs there. I immediately felt at home and absolutely at home in the lines, felt a connection with the authors and their trains of thought! This book is a veritable treasure trove of knowledge and information, which is explained in a way that is absolutely comprehensible down to the last detail. We are introduced to the breathtaking energy of the various medicinal herbs, the basics of herbal medicine are explained in depth and all herbs are categorised into 12 categories, which are described here individually in a very authentic way. The excitement with which the two authors pass on their knowledge to the reader is boundless, and you read with a fluidity that lingers deep inside. Each individual chapter is rounded off with unique illustrations and the explanations about extracts/tinctures, syrups, herbal vinegars and oil extracts, as well as many other healing tips, teach us to look at things from a completely new perspective, which we can integrate very well for ourselves and into our lives. With the help of overviews/comparisons, we can learn how valuable our Mother Nature may provide for us. We don't need money, we only use what we actually need and everything is as it should be. Sounds wonderful, and it is! The entire book with the individual chapters is a real enrichment for our lives, down to the smallest detail we are encouraged to use nature for ourselves and our health, because I was able to take this message with me between the lines. Thomas Easley & Steven Horne have shown me very clearly how easily we can harmonise ourselves and our loved ones, including our furry friends, with nature. We are given knowledge that could not be more comprehensive, simple and easy to implement. About needing the right utensils, whether for making ointments, syrups or mouthwashes, all very valuable tips for healing on our own. From chapter 13 onwards, we are introduced to individual medicinal herbs, with the corresponding botanical names and the derivation of the respective symptoms of malaise, we are given precise instructions on how we can and may get to grips with them. I am full of deep gratitude for this incredibly meaningful & very supportive work in daily life. There is a recipe for almost everything, a formulation and it is child's play to implement. The herbs & sweat baths particularly appealed to me, which I will be very happy to try out, it all sounds so positive & upbeat that you don't even want to "emerge" from the book, but keep on inhaling and internalising. A special ending with an index of medicinal herbs and recipes as well as a list of the energetic properties of medicinal herbs rounds off the overall picture incredibly well. Everything is very well thought out and made more than easy for the reader. Especially the index for looking up the alphabet is a great way to end the book. I have to give this book 5 out of 5 stars, as it really is a modern herbal pharmacy. The two authors have succeeded brilliantly in transitioning from history to the present to a wonderful time of connectedness and being all one. I don't know of a better reference book that could give me so much help. Of course, you can't memorise everything, there is simply too much knowledge at once. All in all, I have become much richer, namely in my knowledge of the connection to nature! Many thanks to Thomas Easley & Steven Horne and the Unimedica/Narayana publishing house for bringing out this unique work! A clear recommendation for every soul in this universe, so that we can finally find our way back to ourselves!!! A book that has found a permanent place in my bookcase.
