I am delighted with this comprehensive work on the homeopathic treatment of viral influenza. Sandra Perko begins by explaining what the extremely dangerous Spanish flu meant and still means for humanity and what lessons can be learnt for the future treatment of the next flu pandemics, highlighting the advantages of homeopathic treatment. In Part II, she explains in detail and clearly how to proceed homeopathically in the case of influenza. The book has been designed as a reference book and repertory for the corresponding remedies. Part III deals specifically with swine and bird flu. A very valuable book to have at hand when the next flu super virus threatens mankind.

The history and helplessness of mankind in the face of the flu is very informative, as is the detailed description of the symptoms and the fever. I also like the fact that not only homeopathy as a panacea, but also medicinal plants and other treatment methods are discussed. This is something I miss in other homeopathic guides. I also personally find the explanation of preventative measures very helpful. It is certainly difficult to get the remedies in suitable high potencies during a real epidemic, but you should definitely have a basic supply of the basic remedies mentioned in your medicine cabinet.

Mrs Perko's work is comprehensively researched and very thoroughly written. You learn a lot about the disease influenza, which is often a stepchild of medicine and yet can cost many lives. The book is well suited to finding the right homeopathic remedy for the flu. It is organised according to symptoms and remedies, so that it is also easy to look up if you are looking for a flu remedy. Detailed, in-depth and understandable for therapists or the interested layperson. Highly recommended.

The book provides a quick overview of differential diagnostic symptoms and special features of influenza. It is a very comprehensive work with details of the sources for the symptoms.
