Nutrition as a precaution
This book contains exactly the information you need to take your dental health and general health into your own hands. The book is written by two German dentists who have studied nutrition intensively. They also admit that nutrition was neglected in their training and that a doctor (or dentist) in our health system (disease system) only earns money from the sick and not from the healthy. However, I believe that if many people really followed the advice in this book, doctors and dentists would have fewer patients (customers). At the beginning of the book there is a brief history of dental health, for example a 300,000 year old Homo sapiens found in Morocco has no tooth decay and neither do our related apes in the wild. The story is not only interesting, but also shows us that a sugar-free diet is actually the key to healthy teeth. Brushing your teeth properly is not enough... Then it goes on... Incidentally, the Sun King Louis XIV had really bad teeth. Then, at the end of the first chapter, the Stone Age experiment "Pile Dwellers of Pfyn" is discussed. With a Stone Age diet and no modern oral hygiene, the participants improved their oral health by omitting processed carbohydrates. The next chapter explains why tooth decay and many other diseases are caused by poor nutrition. Many of the things you have heard at school or from a doctor have to be thrown overboard.... instead, the book contains many tips on how to look after your health on your own. For example with blueberries (Swedish study) or vitamin C is good for the gums...You also learn about the benefits of omega 3 fatty acids....I learnt a lot about nutrition, history and biology in this book. The book not only explains the theory, but also gives practical everyday tips, such as shopping lists and tips for preparing meals. At the end of the book there are simple recipes that are really suitable for everyday use. I have cooked them all. My children, myself and my husband liked them and will cook them often. I highly recommend this book, it's a shame I didn't read it as a teenager. My husband and I have been living almost sugar-free since the beginning of this year, it's worth it!

Great book and extremely important for German health
I bought this book because I saw it was recommended by Dr Joel Fuhrman who is an extremely competent nutritional expert and not scared of saying the truth about the medical industry. I only got to read one third of the book before I had to lend it to two others - a dentist here in Germany and another person, with bad health, also German, who also wanted to read the book. The book is strongly influenced by the works of Dr Joel Fuhrman whom I respect. I only got to read about a third of the book, and I thought it was pretty good APART FROM ONE COMMENT: They do not say the truth of fluor. Fluor is used to dumb us down and make us passive by destroying the brain. Also, fluor actually BREAKS down our teethbone, from the inside. The authors should have said the truth about fluor. They only wrote a short paragraph about fluor and referred to some "research" papers, but as most now see, in 2020, all research can be a lie, depending on who paid for it and to what agenda. Thus, the research they referred to is typical of hiding the truth, the main agenda of the medical industry and all globalism. It is a crime that dentists make us drink water with heavy fluor content in their clinics, but they probably do not know the danger or are forced to this, to retain their certificates? Much research is just used to deceive us, just like the contents of the medical training, where doctors are just taught to treat symptoms with poison, for profit, just like what is happening today, with doctors and health workers being paid extra for each corona virus test they force on people, being used as assassins for the med to kill (medical) industry. The authors question the priorities of the dentistry study which is important. This book is a good "wake up" book for those who may not be aware of reality of the aims of the medical industry, never question the motives of the food production industry and trust politicians and mainstream news, because this book questions things in subtle ways. I hope many read it because this book is urgently needed, where many blindly trust fake news main stream media and are scared stiff of the non-existing PLANdemic, Corona, the fake pandemic, but do not question or care about their health and eat and drink themselves to death through overweight and malnutrition. I recommend this book to people who need waking up and today are totally asleep both about health and reality.

A different kind of nutrition guide
A very interesting, instructive book on the subject of healthy oral nutrition. A must for anyone working in the dental field and for all those who value their (oral) health. The book is divided into 6 chapters. Firstly, you get a brief insight into the history of dentistry and oral diseases. The following chapters then contain many exciting insights into the topics of oral diseases (caries, gingivitis and periodontitis) as well as nutrition and forms of nutrition. Finally, delicious recipes are waiting to be cooked. The individual topics are accompanied by numerous illustrations, humorous questions and study results. After reading the book, you will definitely have a different view of nutrition and health.

Worth reading!
The book describes in a wonderfully fresh and understandable way how everyday eating habits that are harmless to us become a trap. How our salami roll has become "... animal proteins from factory farming, carbohydrates without fibre and saturated fatty acids" product. The book opens your eyes to everything you have already learnt about nutrition. The sentence "Nutrition works! In which direction is up to us" is well known. But since I read it in the book, it has become more firmly established. This book offers practical tips on life-changing nutrition. I am very grateful for the insights gained from the book!

Belongs in every family
The book conveys the most important knowledge about healthy eating in a very understandable way. It is clearly structured, strikingly presented and the recipes are appealing. An overall very holistic approach conveyed by two authentic and committed dentists. I wonder why the knowledge presented here has not already been taught in schools as "universal prevention" ;-) But the "school system" certainly needs some extra tuition in this area too...

Very encouraging
Since I have had gum inflammation for a very long time and no dentist had any other idea than lasering (terrible) or root canal treatment, I continued my search. I had the feeling that the problem had completely different causes. And now I finally came across this book. It opened my eyes to the fact that it is not enough to clean my teeth very thoroughly and limit sweets, but that many other foods cause inflammation, such as my favourite pasta, whether wheat or spelt. A radical change in diet is therefore necessary. My naturopath then explained to me the connection between the gut and the oral cavity and I have now started a detox programme, which is divided into two phases. This will be followed by a 28-day "anti-inflammatory diet" programme. And all because of this book. I'm really grateful to the two doctors and hope that more dentists will look into the subject of dental health and nutrition.

It's nice that there is such a book. Perhaps the content would fit on fewer pages, with less "picture"-like wording. After all, it is a sign of partnership to formulate the "things to be said" as compactly as possible so that the reader's time is not unnecessarily taken up. In my opinion, this applies to many specialised books. The reader is not an 'idiot'. He buys a non-fiction book to learn, not to pass the time.
