I would highly recommend this book, not only for people who already have cancer, but also for healthy people who want to avoid cancer and take their prevention into their own hands. By prevention I don't mean early detection or screening, but strategies to prevent the disease from developing in the first place. This book is written by two doctors. However, it is quite pharma and profit critical. (e.g. many treatments that are not profitable are not even researched). People often hear from their doctor that early detection and living normally is the only sensible prevention. This book dispels this myth. It proves that diet, stress and emotional factors do play a role. It also explains the current problem of so-called overscreening. Many people are overdiagnosed. This means that they are treated for a cancer that would never have been dangerous to them. They are operated on and mutilated, they lose quality of life. This is a particular problem with prostate cancer. This problem is described in detail in the first chapter. Every man should read it! It also explains the causes and prevention of prostate cancer. An important measure to protect yourself from prostate cancer is to limit your consumption of cow's milk. This also applies to breast cancer (cow's milk contains growth factors and hormone-like substances). The book also explains that exposure to artificial hormones should be avoided. I didn't realise that the pill is now officially considered a carcinogen in the USA and Europe! Did your gynaecologist explain this to you? The book also explains why high sugar consumption promotes the development of cancer and shows ways of self-determined prevention (the authors honestly admit that there is no money to be made with proper prevention). It explains how cancer develops, but the book is not boring technical jargon. There are small paragraphs "for experienced readers". Everyone produces cancer cells, which are then neutralised by the immune system. The authors show how you can strengthen your immune system. In addition, the authors mention many substances or habits that are carcinogenic, e.g. bread crusts, wearing mobile phones on the body, chemical pesticides,... You also learn about some insiders from the pharmaceutical industry that are very worrying. Profit and maintaining power clearly come before patient welfare. Unfortunately, some "preventive" examinations also have carcinogenic potential, e.g. mass mammograms (be sure to read pp. 73-76, including articles in the pharmaceutical-independent journal Prescrire). It is also mentioned that many conventional cancer treatments themselves have carcinogenic potential. In this book, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy are described in detail, and all known and effective alternative therapies to aggressive chemotherapy and radiotherapy are listed. These doctors have years of experience with them and know that they are useful. They help greatly with healing and minimise the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and I would use this book as a guide to prevention and healing! Very worth reading!

An ingenious book with many valuable ideas/methods for working with complementary medicine when diagnosed with CANCER. Very readable for laymen and professionals!!!

This book is a must for anyone diagnosed with cancer!!! The therapies are one side, but nutrition is the other, very, very important side. Here both sides are discussed objectively and objectively by doctors who deal with this insidious disease on a daily basis, discussed factually and objectively.
