Premium Selection Chlorella Tablets by Unimedica are manufactured in Germany to a quality unique in the world. They consist exclusively of Chlorella vulgaris of the Algomed® brand, which were cultivated in Klötze (Altmark, Germany). After harvest they are gently spray-dried in thin layers. To preserve the valuable nutrients they are not cell-wall broken.
Chlorella algae obtain their characteristic deep green colour from the plant pigment chlorophyll. No plant has been found to contain more of this substance than Chlorella. Chlorophyll is produced by photosynthesis using sunlight and serves the algae's energy production. The green plant pigment is structurally very similar to our red blood pigment haemoglobin, which transports oxygen around the body.

Chlorella algae belong to the genus of single-celled green algae. They are microalgae that thrive exclusively in freshwater.

The microalgae of the Algomed® brand grow in a 500 km glass-tube system in artesian groundwater from a depth of 45 metres. The water is very pure and well mineralised. This innovative facility is housed in a greenhouse, so the algae are surrounded by sunlight and can develop to their full potential. This prevents the formation of contaminants or toxins. They are ready for consumption immediately after harvest. The mature Chlorella algae are separated from the water, gently dried and processed immediately.
The Unimedica product contains 334 tablets. That corresponds to more than a one-month supply.
Vegan and free from unwanted additives
In accordance with legal requirements, Premium Selection Chlorella Tablets by Unimedica are free from additives such as colourings, stabilisers, preservatives, anti-caking agents like magnesium stearate, and are non-GMO and vegan.
