The ceramic filter Pi Premium fits the water filters of the Lotus FONTANA series. Warning: Not compatible with the mini models!
With a pore size of 0.2–0.4 µm the Pi Premium ceramic filter removes residues from the water supply, particles such as sediment, rust, sand, dust and microplastics as well as bacteria. With an increased width and height the filter has a 25% larger surface area, offers improved flow and higher performance. The small pore size ensures particularly clear water — the filter cartridges through which the water subsequently flows are not burdened by the substances already filtered out. The retained substances can then be removed from the ceramic filter by light sanding.
The larger diameter of the ceramic filter improves the water flow, while the narrow lateral base ensures that the water can drain completely. The thicker wall does slightly reduce flow, but it prolongs the service life. Thus the ceramic filter is more durable for the same or better performance.
In particular, at low water levels in the filling tank the water flow through the Pi Premium ceramic filter is more consistent.

Service life:
The high-performance filter is only worn by the mechanical cleaning process. Therefore the service life is about one year, depending on the initial water quality and frequency of use. The actual service life may therefore differ significantly from the stated estimate.
Note:
As the filter can break suddenly after prolonged use and many cleaning cycles, it is advisable to keep a replacement ceramic filter in stock at the latest after one year, as Lotus FONTANA® water dispensers cannot be used without a ceramic filter.

Installation:
1. Rinse the ceramic filter under running tap water.
2. Insert the filter into the upper filling tank and
3. secure it from below with the silicone gasket and the mounting screw.
