The treatment of cancer has progressed enormously in recent years. However, the care pathway often exposes patients to side effects that can impair their quality of life. This observation has driven Dr Jean-Lionel Bagot for more than ten years. With a team of oncologists from Strasbourg, he offers homeopathy in support of surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy. And it is proving successful! Homeopathy has surprisingly been able to relieve and support patients.
This work details the homeopathic remedies and their dosages by type of cancer, treatment and encountered disorders, not forgetting the emotional management of the illness and of care.
The first guide on the subject, it is remarkable for the precision of its recommendations covering all stages of the illness, from the announcement of the diagnosis to the return to "normal" life. Easy to read and above all simple to put into practice, it is a valuable tool for both patients and therapists.
If the steady progress of anti-cancer therapies and the contribution of new scientific knowledge about cancer are a source of hope and cure, they are accompanied by new side effects sometimes difficult to manage on a daily basis. This is what led Dr Jean-Lionel Bagot to write this third edition, expanded by 130 pages.
Entirely revised, this guide is primarily aimed at patients. They will easily find the most appropriate homeopathic supportive treatment for their situation.
Benefiting from the latest results of Dr Bagot's research in homeopathic supportive care, new chapters have been added to help the reader better understand the new cancer therapies, their mode of action, the possible side effects and their homeopathic management.
Whether with immunotherapy, targeted chemotherapies, PARP inhibitors, conformal radiotherapy or third-generation hormone therapies, the reader will find in this guide all the necessary homeopathic solutions to stay in good health and better tolerate the treatments. In addition, a whole chapter is devoted to haematological cancers.
"This book is also intended for patients and the homeopathic advice is easily accessible to non-medics. Its value lies in the fact that it shows how conventional and homeopathic medicines can ideally work together. This is Dr Bagot's stated aim, to embed homeopathy in integrative oncology."
Extract from the preface by Professor Michael Frass
"This book is a mine of practical advice for best managing the toxicities of treatments and organising daily life."
Prof Gilles Freyer, oncologist at Lyon University Hospital.
"Dr Jean-Lionel Bagot is one of the most knowledgeable experts in homeopathic supportive care in oncology. His work is known to all and is a reference when caring for cancer patients wishing to be followed in parallel and as a complement to their conventional treatment. This is a second edition enriched by four additional years of experience that the publishers Unimedica/Narayana offer us. One discovers a new remarkable and little-known remedy to combat the side effects of chemotherapies.
It is also an opportunity for the reader to update their knowledge regarding protocols and their possible side effects, and of course the treatments to prevent or mitigate them."
