According to a video by Dr Mouton, it all depends on the objective: At first - 3 g per day for 5 days each month for 3–4 months to destroy intestinal biofilms and perform a thorough cleanse - then a lower dose to maintain the microbiota and reduce intestinal permeability.

The problem is that here the berberine capsules also contain 10 mg of zinc. So if you take 6 berberine capsules for 5 days, that is a dose of 60 mg per day of zinc for 5 days. That’s a lot, isn’t it? Why have they added zinc to their berberine capsules?

This dose of zinc is perfectly suitable; it's vitamin B6 that is toxic at that dosage, as Dr Mouton indicates. I buy this berberine here and tolerate it very well — I had bought it elsewhere and experienced bloating among other side effects. Kind regards

Yes, you can take berberine with a meal and natto between meals. Take vitamin D, like OPCs, with fat, but don't forget magnesium with your vitamin D3 K2 so that calcium is deposited in your bones and teeth rather than in your blood vessels. Kind regards

Berberine has no side effects. Real medicines, such as metformin, can have side effects. Good food supplements generally have no side effects. Berberine can be combined with all other supplements. I've been doing so for 11 years and I'm doing great.

What you say is wrong: you tolerate berberine well, but it is contraindicated with the use of certain substances, whether natural or not. Completely contraindicated with coumarins, antidepressants, ...

It is not recommended, particularly for the liver. You can undertake treatment courses of up to two months, rest for three weeks or more and repeat the courses if necessary. When you have a serious liver problem, it is often only discovered very late. Milk thistle and artichoke, taken during the rest periods, are excellent liver detoxifiers. Kind regards

No — at this dosage it is only recommended for a few days per month; you risk gastric problems and it is toxic to the liver. Try taking two to see how your body tolerates it. You can take artichoke and milk thistle, for example as bitter herbs, to support your liver function. Kind regards
