BentonitMed® powder from Unimedica supports the liver by detoxifying the intestinal tract of heavy materials and other pollutants. The fine powder containing natural indigestible calcium sodium bentonite binds toxins such as aluminium, mercury, cadmium, lead, ammonium and histamine and discharges them before these pollutants can reach the liver.
In contrast to zeolite, bentonite forms a gel protective layer containing montmorillonite. This gently coats the stomach and intestinal mucous membranes, reducing the effect of pathogenic factors and soothing the nerve ends in stomach and intestine. Intended purpose: This natural medical device supports the binding and elimination of heavy metals (Pb, Hg, Cr, Cd, Al and Ni) from the bodies of adults. It may also reduce symptoms associated with chronically elevated heavy metal levels, such as fatigue and headaches.
Warnings and safety information: Stop use if you notice unexpected side effects and consult your doctor. If constipation occurs, increase fluid intake, reduce the dose and, if necessary, consult your doctor. Use in patients with existing constipation, impaired kidney function, an existing illness, those receiving drug therapy or undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy should only take place after consultation with a doctor. Breastfeeding or pregnant women, children and adolescents (under 18 years) must contact their doctor before using the medical device. Do not inhale the product. Do not use at the same time as alcoholic, caffeine- or acid-containing drinks such as grapefruit, orange, lemon or pineapple juice. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse them thoroughly. Ensure adequate fluid intake in the form of water or other non-alcoholic beverages during use. Not intended for continuous long-term use. Stop use if you notice an unusual effect.
Interactions: When taking medications concurrently, observe a 2-hour interval. Unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise, take medications before taking Montmorillonite bentonite.
Side effects: Constipation may occur, particularly during the first week after starting use. Very rarely, at the beginning of use there may be bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness and fatigue.
Notes on incidents: All serious incidents related to the product must be reported by the user to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the user is established.
Recommended intake
Type and duration of use: Medical device for oral use. Take 2–3 times daily: stir 1/2 level teaspoon (= 1 g) into a glass of water (250 ml) and drink immediately with meals. The duration of use is a maximum of 12 weeks. If taken repeatedly, a pause of at least one week should be observed.
