4-piece value pack: Organic hemp oil 1,000 ml (4 x 250 ml)
Hemp is not only a versatile crop and useful plant, but also one of the most highly developed plants on Earth. It uses solar energy more efficiently than many other plants. Hemp oil in particular is highly prized. It is rich in protein, vitamins — especially vitamin E — and also the relatively rare gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an important omega-6 fatty acid. Also noteworthy are the phytosterols it contains as well as numerous minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. Delicious in salads, pesto, smoothies or baked goods.

Description
Hemp oil of all‑natural quality from organic cultivation for a special indulgence
The oil from the seeds of the time‑honoured crop hemp can be used in the kitchen to flavour salads and other dishes, for baking (below 165°C) and also in cosmetics for skin care in many ways. The high content of unsaturated fatty acids makes hemp oil particularly valuable. THC and cannabinoids, by contrast, are barely present.
Our hemp seeds come from certified organic cultivation and are processed by a gentle cold‑pressing method. This method ensures that all valuable constituents and the slightly nutty, herbaceous flavour of the oil are preserved. Only the oil from the first cold pressing, which contains the highest concentration of the natural constituents, is used, making this organic hemp oil particularly high quality.
Unsaturated fatty acids for balance and well‑being
Hemp oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, which can contribute to the maintenance of a normal blood cholesterol level, provided they replace saturated fats in the diet.
Hemp oil naturally contains the important omega‑3 and omega‑6 fatty acids in an optimal ratio of 1:3 and also provides other valuable bioactive compounds. This balanced ratio of fatty acids is rare in modern diets and can help support a healthy lifestyle.
Omega‑3 and omega‑6 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that our body needs but cannot produce itself. They are crucial for the formation of cell membranes and play an important role in numerous metabolic functions.
Alternative dietary sources of unsaturated fatty acids
In addition to hemp oil, unsaturated fatty acids can also be obtained from fish, linseed, walnuts and certain vegetable oils. However, organic hemp oil offers a particularly favourable ratio of these fatty acids for our bodies.
What is hemp?
Hemp (Cannabis sativa) has long been used as a crop for the production of textiles and ropes, edible oil and essential oil. The herbaceous plants have finger‑like leaves and strong fibres, which make them interesting as a crop. Industrial hemp contains almost no THC.
Hemp also has a long tradition as an intoxicant. However, only the resinous flowers of the female plants are used for that purpose; these are not used to produce hemp oil for food.
Health effects*
Replacing saturated fatty acids in the diet with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids contributes to the maintenance of a normal blood cholesterol level.
