13 years of experience
Has anyone had any experience with yam for painful menstrual cramps in 13 year old girls? I myself take wild yams because of my menopause and am happy with it. My 13 year old daughter has so much pain on her days, women's doctors always want to treat with hormone pills, I'm not in favour of that. I am thinking about giving my daughter yam. I wonder if anyone has had such experiences. I look forward to feedback. 🙏

Before I take anything, I'd first look for the cause. So I'd find a decent gym and, ideally (insist on it!), first get an ultrasound scan and a blood test to check hormone levels.

I would also recommend taking magnesium in the evening. Ideally, find a doctor or an alternative practitioner who can measure minerals in whole blood. (Many people under stress need magnesium.)
