Organic Matcha Powder: A Tea with Tradition
Organic Matcha powder is finely ground green tea. Its name literally means "ground tea".
Our organic Matcha powder is made from the shade-grown leaves of the tea plant Camellia sinensis and comes from the Kagoshima region of Japan.
Gentle processing preserves numerous nutrients and secondary plant compounds, which give it the bright green colour and the characteristic mildly sweet to slightly bitter flavour.

A pure Matcha in the morning or a creamy Matcha latte — a small ritual that brings calm, focus and energy and helps you start the day clearly and powerfully. As a ceremonial tea, Matcha occupies a special place. The preparation ritual focuses the mind and relaxes. Enjoying Matcha awakens the senses and provides an uplifting start to the day. Due to its caffeine content, however, it should be consumed in moderation and is not recommended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Preparation recommendation
1 | Sift 1 g of Matcha powder into a bowl or cup to avoid lumps.
2 | Add 70–100 ml of water (approx. 80 °C).
3 | Whisk frothy with a bamboo whisk ("chasen") or a milk frother — using gentle W or M motions.
4 | For a Matcha latte, pour over frothed milk and sweeten to taste.
Matcha powder in all its variety
Traditionally, Matcha is whisked in a bowl with hot water. This means it is enjoyed unfiltered with all of its constituents.
Matcha powder is also used for matcha lattes, matcha ice cream, smoothies, lemonades or even baked goods. Its colour is often used by the food industry as a natural colouring.
