Description

Bromelain capsules from pineapple extract with 3,120 GDU | 6,240 F.I.P per daily dose (1,040 mg / 2 capsules) from Unimedica contain 520 mg bromelain per capsule. GDU is one way of comparing the effectiveness of enzymes. F.I.P is the international unit for measuring enzyme activity.

Bromelain is the umbrella term for the protein‑degrading enzymes of the bromeliad family. These enzymes were discovered in the stem of the pineapple plant and were first characterised in 1876. They are also present in the fruit. The French researcher André Thevet already described in the 16th century how important the pineapple was to the indigenous peoples of South America, not only as a food but also in their traditional medicine.

The bromelain for Unimedica’s bromelain capsules is obtained naturally by extraction from pineapple. For this, the fresh stems are peeled, washed and chopped. Pressing produces a juice which is centrifuged to separate the active components. These are then freeze‑dried, milled and processed into plant‑based capsules.

Each jar of Unimedica bromelain capsules contains 120 capsules. This corresponds to a 2‑month supply.

Vegan and free from the following additives

Raw salads don't suit all constitutions in Ayurveda... In France people tend to lump everything together, especially if they're vegetarian. I also had to cut down on raw foods (they really only suit Kapha-type people) and adapt to the seasons (easier in summer).

Magic Bromelain!!!! And versatile.
I started with another brand — a much more expensive one before coming here, for an intestinal lipoma that was too large to be expelled via the lower bowel and for which they therefore wanted to operate on me. I've also had very high cholesterol all my life and have refused conventional treatment; I tried lots of supplements and diets with no success (I was nearly at 4 g and in the end even my homeopath was shocked and wanted me to find a solution). In two weeks at a high dose, bromelain lowered my cholesterol to below 3 g, which had never happened in my life! Even at 20 I had 3.10 g! I was stunned. As for the cyst, I'm waiting for the scan results and I'm optimistic. Also, since bromelain is slightly anticoagulant, after a prolonged period of immobilisation I was able to refuse drug treatment. I can clearly see its effect, as I bleed more easily without it affecting the blood coagulation markers. So long live bromelain!

It worked for me!
