Unimedica organic OPC capsules contain 500 mg of grape seed extract per capsule, with 150 mg OPC.
The OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) in Unimedica's organic OPC capsules are found in the grape seed extract of sun-ripened German grapes. The grape seed extract is obtained by gentle water extraction from the grapes. This preserves the valuable natural constituents to a large extent, and each Unimedica organic OPC capsule contains 30% OPC.
OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) are natural secondary plant compounds. They belong to the polyphenols, specifically to the subgroup of flavanols. OPC are found primarily in the grape seed, in the skins of grapes and in the leaves of red grapevines, but also in apples, ginkgo leaves or coconuts. OPC were first discovered in the red skins of peanuts.
It is thanks to OPC that red wine has its good reputation in popular belief: as the saying goes, red wine in moderation isn't so bad for your health and may contribute to a long life.
The grapes for Unimedica's organic OPC capsules are grown in Germany under strictly controlled organic conditions and processed in France. The grape seed extract is then used in Germany to produce Unimedica's organic OPC capsules — naturally entirely plant-based.
Each jar of Unimedica organic OPC capsules contains 60 capsules. This corresponds to a one-month supply.
Vegan and free from unwanted additives
Vegan capsule shell made from pure plant cellulose (HPMC), free from carrageenan and PEG. Unimedica's organic OPC capsules are, in accordance with legal requirements, free from additives such as colourings, stabilisers, preservatives, anti-caking agents such as magnesium stearate, and are non-GMO, lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan.
