Franz Swoboda: A tough story
The author discusses the risks and benefits of using epidemic homeopathic remedies based on his experience with Antimonium tartaricum. Through the frequent use of this remedy, also in apparently atypical cases, he has developed his own individual approach to Tartar emetic and the related mycoplasm nosode, enabling him to also recognise the remedy
in severe chronic cases. He describes especially typical aspects such as weakness, lack of reaction, intolerance of milk, and a tendency to cling. The mental picture of infirmity, withdrawal, emptiness, and a mood of hopelessness is recognised to be a reflection of the decline of contemporary culture.
